As of 1945-1946, somebody was doing just about everything heard here: e.g. T-Bone Walker and Merle Travis were playing hot electric guitar, the Miller band was still together and in the same style even though he'd died, Lionel Hampton and Buddy Johnson were already doing the huge backbeats, I. Jacquet was squealing...

  • @BoomShackerLacker IT'S JUMP BLUES MAN, VERY MUCH CONNETED AND AN INSPIRATION TO A LOT OF ROCKABILLY (JUMP BLUES CAME FIRST). IF YOU LISTEN TO A LOT OF BRIAN'S ROCKABILLY SOLOS AND RHYTHMS, THEY'RE ALL MARINATED WITH A LITTLE OR SOMETIMES A LOT OF JUMP BLUES. IT ALL GOES TOGETHER, IT'S GOOD TIMES MUSIC.
