i think we are all curious becuase its so amzing how anyone who is deaf can learn to pronounce words and letters if they can't here. its awesome! can you tell me how you learned or how people who are deaf learn how to say words if they can't hear the pronunciation?
Hey.. i browsed old tube... Actually i never into this stuff until I realized there deaf to use. Anyway. Yeah deaf people need to control thier voice , but at the same time, you or any deaf people CANNOT help! Me , can hear on right ear but not on left... not not 100% . But i used hanging out with girl who use her odd voice and it embarrassed. maybe you can touch your throat to see if there vibrate. go watch movie, "The Company of Men". it is about deaf worker and along with men.
I also wanted to say that I think your voice is wonderful, and as a hearing person who's first language is NOT asl... it helps me to appreciate what you're saying even more. I think it's only natural as humans to use our voices, whether a spoken language is our first language or not. So keep doing what you feel is most comfortable. And know that there are those of us out here that appreciate it for what it is. =)
I never understood the obsession that some hearing people have when they hear a deaf person's voice. I always thought of it like an accent, just like anyone who's first language isn't English, if that makes any sense... it was never weird or strange to me to hear my friends use their voices to get my attention or when I was learnign sign language, to help me understand what was being said.
It's sad how critical people can be of things that shouldn't make any difference to them.
@Catwalksymphony I think its more of a curiousity then anything - it isn't common thing for a lot of people - I don't think I know any people that are deaf but I wouldn't be disrepectful to them if I did
@Catwalksymphony, I don't think it's a mean or hurtful thing to be curious about what a deaf person's voice sounds like. I am curious, hence me being here, but it is certainly not meant to be a slight to the deaf. Quite the opposite! I'm in awe. I can't imagine how hard learning to speak without hearing would be, or even how it would be done! Also, by hearing a deaf voice and comparing, you can see what cues humans, learn from sound. It gives insight to how our AMAZING brains, work and perceive.
hi! i am hearing but i understand your vlog. and i agree with rainbowsflow! i think if it is natural to use your voice, go ahead and use your voice! whatever makes you comfortable don't care about what other people are thinking.
I think at first some hearing people listen to "Deaf voice" and say it sounds funny (i did not hear that people say "spooky" ever) but that is because they don't understand.
i did not hear your voice AT ALL in this vlog maybe you have audio off? smile
Ooo u sexy omg! lol o umm Im deaf well actually hard of hearing. So matter of fact Deaf Power Woo! Fuck people what they gotta to say, Its like our ethics culture the way we use the voice just because we don't hear it? is that quite interesting? o ha
Tell hearing viewer that he is TOO LAZY to turn down volume on player. He not understand vocalizations that tend to come from deaf expression. Often we are forced to comply for their sake. It's your vlog and choice to set mute to audio or not.
Just be yourself! Who cares what others think of your voice just control it in meetings things like that. LIFE IS TOO SHORT to please other people with the way you voice sounds. Do include voice in your Vlogs and if they can't stand it well they can mute the sound! Smile..keep it up. BTW are you in Dallas? Im in Lubbock...

You deaf people don't realise when your kind tries to "talk", you sound drunk and high or like a dying animal.

My opinion: voice off if people are near who are not in the community. Voice natural when all the people deaf and hearing are members.

Like what rainbowflow says, just be yourself! It is the way we are. They can turn down the volume themselves.
