Damn, shows how late I am. I LOVE BLUES!! AAint nothing like it, but I truly didn;t know that he had passed...unless I heard and forgot, which I doubt! RIP to ah GREAT BLUES SINGER! I may be young, but I know my blues
wow i know who he is my aunt use to listen to him all the time i was like 10 soon as i turned of age and my mom couldn't stop me i bought every Marvin Sease album on the shelf I'm 35 now I am crushed I didn't even know he passed til now.
man RIP to my Marvin Sease wow i was just listening to "gone on"the other day damn i didnt even know wasnt on news or nohing aint this bitch thanx for video.
Thank you my man for the info, Marvin was a legend in his own right. He made you smile even to the point of bursting out laughing, especially songs like candy licker. His humor and his way of conveying a song could get your attention, even when he sang about pain of anquish, it was felt in his lyics and music. So my brother in your song "gone on" you have gone to join that legend of muscians who must have that place upstairs jumping and bursting at it seams with music and soulful joy. RIP !!
Wow! I just found this out!:( Going to miss this blues guy! I wanted to see him in concert! Have to see him in Heaven now! Rest in peace Marvin! Blessings to his family.
I recall back in the day taking about 50 copies of his 1st LP and giving it out in St. Louis to every club/tavern DJ I knew, told them 'you gonna love this like hot bread!'
They did too...
Like Tyrone Davis & Johnny Taylor, Marvin was really a great southern soul singer who appealed to that part of the blues scene that's still made up of mostly black listeners---He was a great favorite for 25 years in St. Louis---blessings on his family, and R.I.P.
My "Ghetto Man", gone, never forgotten!!! Ghetto Man was my favorite of his masterpieces because it stripped love down to its raw content! "If you dont mind eatin beans out of a can, come on honey! " Truly a legend!!!
I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM AND I APPRECIATED HIS MUSIC ESPECIALLY "THE CANDY LICKER" WHICH ROCKED ME AND MY FAMILIES WORLD AT ANY TIME AND WILL CONTINUE TO STAY ALIVE, BECAUSE IT IS THE BOMB. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE AND PRAYERS TO HIS FAMILY. JD BRUNSON ,COLA. SC
Was just talking about him. I went to Wharton, tx last year where he performed at the Juneteenth festival. He was talking about how they had put it out that he was dead last year and he the crowd cracking up. R.I.P
Wow I never knew he died...no news clips or nothing. Wow
