- some folks don't know this is a typically fast played piece at around 70 speed. Like the converscarlos commenter who thinks people play Bach fast only to impress others rather than as the player's own personal preference.
@converscarlos I think he played it a the same pace as Glenn Gould, so if you think this is too fast, then you think Gould plays it too fast.Anyway, I don't agree, I think is it played excellent! Great flow of the music.
everybody mimics glenn gould, the king of fastest and hurry pianists... this is so bad...this is not music...this is much like you runnig to save your father from eventual "hanging"...lifeless interpretation and waste of time...
yeah the magic gets lost, which makes you think that they really were genius making these songs. a bit to fast, remember, bach used to play in an air organ, which makes the sound go slower
I think that this beautiful little tune is played too fast, which is often the case with other vids.. All of Bach's genius is condensed in this piece, I think that if you played it a little bit slower it would be more enjoyable. Anyway, BACH IS AWESOME !!!!!
i like the way it is played, thank you. I believe this comes close to Bach's mathematician-like spirit and more than one culture has shown that trance-like feelings can come from keeping strictly to the basics
Sometimes it is because of the microphones used. Most cameras have automatic gaining and compression because they are meant for speech. I know this seems an excuse but good microphones enhance the dynamic range.
Amazing,
Im learning this song for a competition
I hope i get as good as you

Same here, the only song that hasn't lost it's magic when I learned to play it was "altitudes"
by Jason Becker.

What a glorious performance!
Sounded like sunshine coming out of the piano! Bach makes me happy when played so nicely!

Why doesn't anybody ever put dynamics into their music??!!! Great technique but it sounds like you're angry at the piano.

@minicannonball13 Because Bach played his pieces on a harpsichord which could not go loud or soft.

A mi el tempo no me parece mal.
Me gustó.
joseramonv 4 years ago 2
Me he limitado a tocarla al tempo sugerido por mi edición, siento que no sea de tu agrado :(
bluedrop85 4 years ago
Demasiado rápido. Un poco más lento se escuchan mejor tanto el bajo como la melodía. Esto es Bach, no el circo.
