  • anybody know what type of leather coats there wearing????

  • Well Idk if this was done or not, I haven't heard it. But I would've loved them to record this again, with better sound, I just simply love this song!

  • Why hello Music! Pleasure to meet you - not often we see each other these days...

  • awesome moment... begining of everything

  • 1:09 they even started photo bombing

  • honestly, what the hell do you need 3 guitar players for ?

  • @Cidantis For a little something called THE BEATLES.

  • That version was written by Don Robey and Fats Washington....

  • So go back 4 years before and slow this down a shade and see how Johnny Ace--Pledging My Love sounds.....smiles.....The Quarrymen's version is 4 years on.

  • Now we need to tie the dates to see who did it first....

  • Well the lyrics are up the shoot that I was trying to link to in my mind but this is the sound that this sounds like Johnny Ace - - Pledging My Love ....compare and contrast.....What do you think?

  • This quarrymen's aka Beatles' "original" may not be so original to them probably...Unless someone took this sound from them. I need some time for the other version to surface the subconscious mind. But this has got to be said is absolutely fabulous...I think the similar sound may be later...possibly something like..." Darling I love you...and I am been true ...forever I love love ...and hope you love me too.. something like that!!...well I need for this to crystallise in my thoughts.

  • Superowe Łoł że hej! ;D KOcham Beatlesów.. <3 :)

  • @MJmarcelaMJ JA TEZ:D

  • John,Paul,George & John "Duff" Lowe recorded this song in the group - The Quarrymen

  • i love this song!!

  • qe biennn cuando las buena musica empesavasalir a la luz!!

  • What's with the poor sound quality? Beautiful song when I heard it on ''Nowhere Boy''

  • @Mnz131 That was a cover version - pretty good one at that! - and this one's the original. :)

  • @Mnz131 its about 70 odd years old.

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!

  • Oh God. -3

  • this song is amazing. i honestly cant stop listening to it *.*

  • There are no dislikes, because the idiots who go along being haters are to stupid to know this unbelievable song was even recorded

  • And yet already so talented... :D

  • im addicted to this song :D

  • I like how in the middle of the picture at 0:19 , the picture of the beatles with original drummer Pete Best is Replaced with Ringo's head from Please Please Me

  • The Quarrymen were almost as good as The Beatles. Pure perfection.

  • i raped the hell out of the like button!

  • I read a biography about John Lennon about a month before I watched nowhere boy and when i got out of the theater i was stunned on how much they changed the real events

  • who is singing the "ah" background part? Paul or George? I feel ashamed for asking this. I feel like I should know /:

  • @stc2192 I'm pretty sure it's George.

  • @kugia111. That is correct. So it's not portrayed correctly in the movie Nowhere Boy :-(

  • wait... 14th July 1958?! THIS WAS ONE DAY BEFORE JULIA'S DEATH WASN'T IT?!

  • @spongebobforever13 Well anyway, SPONGEBOB IS GOD.

  • @spongebobforever13 thats just the sound quality not them laughing

  • Shame that the nothing became of this band. ;)

  • je kiff ste musique !!! <3

  • Shouldn't Pete be on here?

  • @ProductionsHead Pete wasn't there when they made the recording. He played the washboard other times with The Quarrymen, like in the day John and Paul met! :)

  • @TheBlueFairy1987 actually pete shotton played the washboard and colin hanto played the drums

pete didnt come in until right before hamburg

  • @TheBlueFairy1987 wrong pete

    pete shotton=washboard

    bete best=drums(colin on this record)

  • @TheBlueFairy1987 Don't forget George at this time he was in Quarrymen band too

  • @aderoner16andreu Yes, I know George was there too.

  • 1:52 Danngg no wonder Lennon didn't want them in his band at first they look YOUNG.

  • Thanks for posting the full version (taken from the bootleg "Strong Before Our Birth" I assume), instead of the chopped-up Anthology version! :-)

  • This is history. The greatest musical alliance ever!

  • Could be a great country song

  • thank-you! Loved seeing of them in their youth!

  • The movie Nowhere Boy is a little off with their timeline. Julia died the day after they recorded this on the 15th. In the movie, they have her death happening before they recorded this.

  • Paul actually wrote this song but John sings lead and Paul and George sing backup. At 1:30, you can see Cynthia with brown hair sitting up front while Paul's singing to her.

  • are they wearing leather pants on 0:45?

    haha sexaaaaay:)

amazing song and great pictures, thank you for uploading:)!!

  • Just watched Nowhere Boy.. loved it.. and when I heard this song I was like "Why have I not heard this song before?" Well I didn't even know about the Quarrymen until today.. haha ^ ^; Love this song. It's wonderful..

  • Remarkable fact: Lennon's mother Julia was killed the day after the recording.

  • @ZoKtorR - Thank you. I never knew of the timing connection of this reel-to-reel recording and Julia's untimely death. Just realized that mother and son have been re-united for 30 years now. Rest In Peace Julia and John. THANK YOU BOTH for, well, you know. . . PEACE TO ALL.

  • @ZoKtorR In "Nowhere Boy", Julia Lennon dies in the car accident the day before the recording, but in fact it's wrong.

  • @TheBlueFairy1987 It makes a better story, though.

  • @TheBlueFairy1987 well i guess they wanted it more dramatic and Aaron is very good in looking sad and he sings the song very well

  • @ZoKtorR 3 days before the recording, actually.

  • I've never heard this song before (call myself a Beatles fan!) but when I heard it on Nowhere Boy I instantly loved it. It's one of those songs that really gets stuck in your head.

  • @driscolldoll I saw that movie! It was absolutely amazing!

  • @driscolldoll i no the same thing happened to me and what a great song

  • ahah! no conoscevo questa canzone! mai sentita! he tenero paulie qui!
