  • I am going to japan as exchange student.. i am very excited... but is it safe to go this year?

  • How want to live in japan without getting married, going to school and just doing short vists. So how to i do that?

  • Going after graduation is a really good idea, you gave me hope, since I'm in yr11 I thought I wld never have a chance going into a Japanese school. Thank you I might consider this after grad :'D

  • thumbs up if u love rei unnie

  • Hey Rei, is there any sort of short exchange program that one can go on summer vacation? maybe two or three weeks?

  • Denmark !!! yay we love you !

  • @TheBoggieman5 Yaaaay! Goooo Denmark! :D

  • Hello, I had a question for you =) I'm 14 and I'm going to Japan soon around April or in August. I was wondering... Do they tease when you're a foreigner? I'm pretty short.. like 1.58 do they care about that? And I'm pretty chubby also.. So do they tease for that etc? And what about a host family, how am I supposed to communicate with them? And is it easy to make friends? I'm really nervous tho. I think that nobody would talk with me and iI'll be the shy person I just hope to hear from you soon
  • Make more videos with your guy friends I love them so fun to watch

  • Are you still in japan ? If so how long are you staying

  • This was so helpful, after a bit of thought I think I may apply for exchange after I graduate instead or trying to go next year(when I am in year 10) y parents aren't too keen for me to go in high school and I do want to focus on my studies, and of course, as you said, I can enjoy my time more! :D

  • So you graduated but people in Japan were still in school? I was thinking about going on an exchange during high school, but I don't know if my mom and dad would let me during school.

  • @suprea107 sorry about the previous comment! i misread. but you'd want to apply about 6-8 months prior to when you want to do your exchange so if you want to go in 2014, make sure you prep ur documents and submit them before the year ends.. also check the age limit when the company you are applying with!

  • @Orangetummy Thank you soo much!!

  • was easy make friends there ?

  • @pickshady for me it wasn't hard, everyone was really nice and they opened up to me really quickly..

  • thank you~~~~

  • since I ran out of characters, I'll continue from here.

4.What were your favorite stores in Japan?

And finally 5. I am a big fan of you and your videos and your singing! I hope you continue with your youtube activeness. geez...I use big words - -" -your fan, DarkerThanBlackAndy xP

  • I have many questions so I hope you can keep up....

    1. Did you find romance or at least met someone you will never forget in Japan?

    2. Did you lose weight there, because I have heard rumors that since there is much walking, low calorie and small portion foods, and peer pressure, people tend to lose wieght there.

    3. I am going to Japan for highschool in two years because I am under the age limit. Also it has always been my DREAM to go to highschool there! Were saving up.

    3. Were there bullies?

  • D: I'm so horribly depressed,

    1. I'll be 18 when I graduate from High School.

    2. I'm not allowed to get my passport until I'm 18 anyways so it wont matter if I even attempt to get into an exchange program.

    T^T

  • @amiemarionette hey! don't be sad!! i'm sure there are plenty of other ways and you look into it.. there are tons of different programs out there where the age limit isn't really a problem.. just look into it!!!! good luck!!

  • @Orangetummy thanks, so much ^_^

  • @Orangetummy i'm still waiting

  • @amiemarionette Don't grow up so fast! High school exchanges are relatively new; the majority of people do international exchanges during third year of university!

  • @kireikeikoo ^_^ Thanks! I didn't know that. That makes me feel better. :3

  • Thank you for the video :)

  • your GPA has to be a 3.0 or higher

  • hi hi >< i love your videos !! soo, i want to know if i can go to japan after I graduated in my country (18 years old) or before ? who did you do ? :D

sorry for my bad english :x

  • @pickshady it really depends on the exchange company you are going with, with AFS i think the age limit was 18.. but if you check with other companies, their age limit might be like 19 or something..

  • Do you still have news from Toshiki & the others ? :D

How are they & what are they doing now ? ^U^ !

Btw, you're so amazing ! I love ALL your videos so much :D !

  • @Orangetummy thx for the information^^you are the best........um i dont think i will be exchange student there i will be Living there until old hahax^^

  • @Orangetummy umm i think you can teach us some basic about japanese language haha^^

  • If you went to Japan after high school, did you do the gap year program? I looked on AFS for the gap year program and Japan isn't there :(

  • @ama291997 hey, i did go to japan during my gap year but i just applied for the normal one year highschool exchange!

  • I'm in 7th grade and my dream is to become an exchange student in Japan~

My mother doesn't like the idea, because it costs so much...

Actually, I didn't even ask her yet, cause I already know her answer.

Anyway, your video helped a lot! Thank you !

  • @Kuromiriin hey! don't lose hope!!!!! maybe you can find some sort of compromise that your mom will be pleased with and maybe she'll let you!!

  • i wish i could go to japan for a whole year but my parents are only allowing for 6 months..

  • @sopeopp that's better than nothing!!! good luck!!! and study really hard in japanese while you're there!!

  • O_O <-- me when I saw your video in my news feed! But WELCOME BACK! :D

  • @sarai09 Thanks when that happens check me out. I already make videos as it is, but again check me out when I do somehow get to Japan.

  • My parents say i can study abroad somewhere else besides here.. IF I PAY MY OWN PASSPORT FEE OF $400!!! hawaii prices of everything from oil to bus-seats... FML (F our L) for the broke ppl

  • hey, guess who i am LOL.

  • @mingjitsu lolol

  • @Orangetummy Oh so you're saying that foreign exchange student wouldn't really be in my favor due to the fact I'm now 19 years old? Well thanks, Rei for trying to help me out, but I ain't gonna stop on my dreams of going to Japan. Im not gonna let this slide. Okay how about if I just get a part time job and and save up money and learn Japanese? How is that for a master plan?

  • @Tyshawngibson I would subscribe if you did start making those videos :) Best Wishes!

  • Hey, I had a ton of fun on my exchange program during the summer! Sapporo was super amazing. I'm gonna go back and visit next year as well!

  • @Red9san yay!!!!!!! i'm so happy for you!!!! definitely visit japan again!!!

  • Okay enough of me goofing around. I'm only 19 and I'm in college and I'm not doing good in right now and I really wanted to go to Japan since I was in high school myself, so is it okay to ditch my college, go for a part time job for a year in Japan and sign up for a spot for an exchange student to Japan for a year? Please respond soon, Rei because I reay need to know this, and I want to go show my subscribers the life of Japan while experiencing this myself thanks in advance.

  • @Tyshawngibson123 this is a very tough question as i only went for the highschool exchange only and not during college so i'm not sure if im gonna be of much help but anyways i think it is hard to find a part time job in japan if you can't speak japanese well because japan is very japanese dependent, unless you can find a teaching job in which you can utilise english skills. also the cost of living is quite high so you must take that into consideration.

  • @Tyshawngibson123 personally i would never recommend anyone to stop college but you may want to look into getting a working visa which will allow you to work and earn money at the same time.. it would really be an exchange, cos you'll have to live on your own and support yourself.

  • @Tyshawngibson123 seeing your 19, you can also looking into voluntary work in japan or smth, once again i'm not too sure about your question as i only did a highschool exchange

  • Thanks so much! ^^ This helped me a lot~

  • @souleaterlover11 thank you for watching~

  • The program I'm going with has a high possibility of me moving a couple times which is kind of depressing because I really would like to have a second family

  • @hitsugiluva ah, it wouldnt be as good as if you were to stay with the same family i feel BUT! in saying that, it allows you to experience more things with different people, see more things, experience more aspects of the japanese culture sincee each host family will treat you differently!! don't put it to heart!! btw, i had 2 host families too, and i don't regret because my second family was the best :)

  • @Orangetummy Yeah I'm really excited! But I just really hope moving to a couple families within the year will ruin my experience, lol I'm so on the fence! I've already applied so really I can't go back now and I wouldn't because of something so little but I hope the family wont think I'm just here for a short time so they wouldn't want to get close. Thanks for your reply :)

  • I'm taking Japanese1 right now in High School, do you think that will be enough practice to go ?

  • @ccassielynnn the more the better! if you can do some extra self study by watching japanese dramas and that, it will be even better!!

  • Totally in love with Rei : ) how many of you think the same ?

  • @jesuisunearme kekeke :)

  • Are you ever going to go and visit them again?

  • @ccassielynnn of course!!!! i still keep in contact with my close friends in japan and my lovely host family :)

  • You're so cute! :D How old were you when you did the exchange? :)

  • @TheCutieAstig i applied when i was 17, went to japan when i turned 18!

  • Man this has gotta be the longest rant video you've ever made.

  • You are a great person, really. even i notice you've changed ;)
