  • we clearly see its the 5

  • I searched for r14 expecting rank 14 classic wow pvp how did I end up here

  • @Crazygamer1995 By clicking on the wrong video :P

  • @Railfan02 Nope they were constructed/Tested 1999-2003

  • @FrEsHtOdEaTh1997 They were in active use as early as 2000

  • wow

  • when did this happen

    ?

  • They need to put R142 stock on the 7 line.

  • @Baytrail They probably will. The computerized trains will probably be replacing the R32-R68A.

  • @Baytrail Yesss Thank you somebody whos noticing

  • They need to put them on the 1-line. The 1-train sucks. Not the line. The actual trains themselves. They're iceboxes in the winter and they are mobile ovens in the summer. I'm sure all the new A-Division (numbered) trains are compatible to run on all the A-Division lines and the same goes with the B-Division (lettered) trains.

  • 1 person didn't get the front before he changed it.

  • They should put R142 on the 7 line. It would look great. :D

  • 1-11 car train is expected to hit the Casey Stengel barn this week. Lets keep our fingers crossed!

  • Never Saw Those Trains Before O_o. been on the 7 line mostly everyday to main street.

  • How come there's a 5 train in the 7 line

  • @siakol5 It IS the (5) line. It's just a little screw-up.

  • COOL NEVER SAW A 7 TRAIn

  • Now this is Codebreakin for the 7 I've never knew about this and all I could say is what A catch and ya gotta get more IRT stuff

  • holy cow when did they put r142s on 7 train??? I NEVER saw one before, but all they use are R62s!!

  • First: NICE CATCH!!!

Second: If they are going to put the 7 train on the R142's or another voice announcement train they have got to change the Willets Point-Shea to Willets Point-Citi Field.

    Third: NICE CATCH!!!!!! ;)

  • does anyone know the name of the lady doing the announcement?

  • 5/5 Great Catch. Wow it was a 5 then it change to the 7

  • i saw a r142 1 train before no fake

  • so you are saying that the third rail shoes of the r142 could not reach the tracks like the r62? That must mean that the third rail shoes of the r62 must be extended a couple of inches.

  • i wonder why all the irt lines could not get r142/r142a. I mean, the r142 was in public service in 1999 and the r142a ran public service in mid 2001. Kind of late to transfer cars that are nearly 11 years old.

  • @malikrthr1 The R142 Tested on the 7 line, but it failed because for some reason its contracts couldnt reach the 3rd rails... R142/A can run on all the other lines though... maybe its not enough sets

  • That's Eastchester - Dyre Avenue. I know the employee in the video; he's a real nice guy who I guess changed the train to briefly display the (7) so the railfan could get some video. He told him to get off so he could record it from the outside, before the Conductor, who wasn't likely aware of what was happening, could change it back.

  • woah!

    thats in exsisture?

  • why did that MTA guy told u to get off the train???

  • They are probably testin it.

  • what station were you on?

  • I thought 7 only used the old stock. Good catch.

  • the only irt trains that still operate old stock is the 1 line, 3 line, and 7 line. I believe around 2015 or 2020, the mta should be having the r142 and r188 on the 7 line.

  • WTF I ride the 7 almost everyday.... never seen an R142 on the 7 line.

  • what was the guy saying??

  • @parejopinto get off the train fore the conductor changes the program

  • perhaps this is the future of the IRT Flushing line: the R62As will inevitably be replaced with R142s

  • they say that the 7 train MITE switch cars with the 6 train so the R62s may go back on the 6 but who knows. if that doesnt happen, the 7 will remain R62s til they retire and that wont happen for another 15 or 20 years.

  • When was this

  • R142 on the 7? I will be surprise if they will be the R142 on the 7. I saw the R142A on the 7 in the yard when I rode the 3 train.

  • The 7 train will use the future R188 cars. It will be CBTC compatible.

  • i want to see this on the 7 line 42 st

  • i want to seeeee this on the 1

  • yea, and they should also add these on the 3 as well

  • Adding the stadium name is a bit weird, I agree.

  • Where is this, Dyre Avenue? And how come you're the only You Tuber to catch the oddest things happening in the NYC Subway system?

  • 1) Yes

    2) Because I guess that's just the way it is.

  • @Railfan02 I once saw a 4 train that changed from 4 woodlawn bound to 1 South Ferry Bound

  • that shit is nice

  • sweet!

  • NO WAY! Cool.

  • Isnt suppose to be called Mets-Willets Point?

  • Announcements were done way before the station name change.

  • (reply to nycrailfanner623)

They should have changed it to Willets Point - CitiField

  • The station now is Willets Point-Mets.

  • uhhh, isi'nt it Mets - Willets Point?

  • its a new name.

  • wtf!

  • OMFG

  • when was this taken?

  • Do you need to know?

  • just wondering, looks like it was taken in 1999-2002

  • 2005 or 2006

  • @BROAdWAYexpressN The R142's weren't even out until 2005-2006 so why would u think that

  • @FrEsHtOdEaTh1997 Are you smoking? The first R142 was here in 1999.

  • @Railfan02 Lmao, "Are you smoking?". You just made me laugh :P

  • sounds like Diane thompson or a robot

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME! JUST AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME! nice rare one

  • i wonder who the announcer is

  • OMG, nice catch!!! I saw this a few times in the East 180th Street yard!

  • thats really the 5 rite?

  • yep

  • Very cool.
