I am 17 & I have CP called Hemiplegia on my right side. I was diagnosed 1 month before my 1st birthday. I take ballet since I was 5. I am under 5'0 tall.

what if you have CP, which is mild enough for you talk perfectly and socialize well, yet as soon as people see you walk, they behave uncomfortable or avoid you and patronize you. LOL. your parents say "you're lovely the way you are". but you know and have known for a long time that something is wrong, not to mention you cant get a job or a "girl"

i tend to ignore what people say about me my friends understand but people who dont know me dont understand this is why i find it hard to find a boyfriend (cos im a girl) i shouldnt have to write a book to tell people to understand they should just do it... because they should exept that everyone is different in their own special way.....

i have cereabal palsy spastic 1 and servere hip conditions i find it really painful i have physio twice a week and hospital every week i had surgery and i was in a wheelchair for 8 months and crutches and splints whuch i still wear and use crutches

I am 26 and have CP. Actually, mine is spastic hemiplegia. Some days it's painful when I walk, but I don't let it get me. instead I see it as something making me unique.

fantatic video, my little boy has cp he was diagnoised when he was 2 and a year later on 16th Aug 07 it will be a year when he was diagnoised and he has come so far, and im so proud of him. He still cant walk on his own yet but hes such a happy and independant little boy, and that video was excelent, it spoke for every child that has a disablity.

this is sooo good I am a mother with a 16 yr old boy with cp since birth,confined to a chair ,unable to use right side and so many time people stare n watch my son says i wish they would ask instead of look at me and sometimes he gets so sad and frustrated because people dont know what it like depending on someone to help you or fix your food or help with dressing .God bless you

This made me cry so much. I used to babysit for a girl with CP. I have watched her grow up from a 3 yr old to a beautiful teenager. She has inspired me more than anyone could in this world. I have choosen my career path because of her. I also work for a summer camp for kids with special needs. And I just love to talk to my kiddies and miss them dearly until the next summer that I can see them. I wish people werent so cruel. Everyone out there needs a good sensitivity training.

My sister and a very close friend of mine have CP and I also used to be a carer for a wonderful boy with severe quad CP before I became too disabled with another condition myself to do the job. Those 3 people are actualy some of the best people i've ever known and I hate how they've all had people judge them to be worthless coz of the bodies they live in!
