Actually 'spice' refers to flavor additives from botanical origin such as dried fruits, nuts, and such which are present in halo halo, I'm assuming you took it as the common misinterpretation of 'chili peppers' and the like? no worries though :)

during my philippine trip in 06 i had halo halo everyday:) the best halo halo in the philippines is in a place called "tiwi" in bicol province albay. contains so many ingredients including a grated cheese toping!
