Andy! i performed this for my grandparents last night and they loved it! I was nervous about the gimmick so I got a pencil and made some "card like" marks on the sides of the gimmick :) but I love this trick and perform it many times to come! -chase

Yes it can. The gimmick is only on display for a few seconds. Don't show it for one hour under a microscope.

for those who think this trick is too amazing to be revealed ,, ok i partially agree but C'mon ,, Andy's tricks are far too difficult for the general public..

i mean no matter how many times they watch the tutorials ,, they won't be able to get it easily ,, (they might not get it at all) like me (-^_^-) i still don't know how most of his tricks are done hehehe even after watching the tutorials ..

the bottom line = its not really a problem if such tricks are revealed

hey andy

how about a slight variation.

if you force the card at the beginning, for example the 3 of hearts, you can remove it from the pack before the trick, mark where it's supposed to be by puttiing a little piece of paper or sth. between the 2 and 4 of hearts, so you can slide it in at the right position and when you open the pack the 3 of hearts is also in the right position.

Yes, your correct make a crimp to mark the position, but i kept it as simple as i could for the guys.

you shouldn't have revealed that trick. I didn't know it before but I like admiring simply amazing card tricks like this one. I think that this trick goes over the line of giving away a free trick. You should compile the really good tricks like this and sell them in a book or something! Just not freely releasing them to the general public. In my opinion, the standard of this trick has gone down because everyone can now do it.

The 3 of hearts never leaves the top. It starts out as the second card from the top. He does a double, which gives the appearance that the card is at the top. Then he removes the top card, which is some random card, and puts that in the middle of the deck.
