  • I don't think any songs/piece of music brings back more memories than this...I remember coming home each day from school (was 9-10 years old) and the timing was always right...each time I came home, put my bike out back, opened the door and was welcomed by that theme song. It was the warmest feeling ever and I get it back whenever I hear it again. God bless memories such as this :-)

  • I never heard of Small Wonder What year is that show?

  • @KidHunni

It was a show from the 80s, about a little girl who was a robot. I didn't really watch enough of it back then but saw an episode of it a while back on YouTube. It's kind of alright, but somewhat odd.

    -Matt

  • Awww The joys of being a lil kid watching this show.

  • Is this the re-recorded stereo version of the song?

  • COCAIN

  • If Cheers were a Gay bar: Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you want to go Where everybody knows you're gay, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, gay troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows You're gay.
  • @1986rich

I'm unsure if that was attempt to be humorous.

  • @Foremanfosho I just turned 21, but my first legal drink was at 19. Sorry, it's just fun to rub it in. Viva la Canada!

  • @psychicbyinternet You didn't drink until you were 19??? How did you stay alive without dehydrating???

  • @oOCaptainCrazyOo First legal drink. Don't worry, learning to read gets easier with practise.

  • @psychicbyinternet Yeah i know right!? Just like you said "first LEGAL drink." I didn't know that DRINKING WAS ILLEGAL!

    You mean? "first alcohol beverage?"

Now i understand i'm so unworthy of your intelligence..

  • @oOCaptainCrazyOo Most people would know that "alcoholic beverage" was implied when I mentioned the word"legal" but I guess I should have explained that better for you.

Anyway, this is just a video of the Cheers song, so you don't have to get so offended just because Canada has better laws pertaining to the age when you can drink alcoholic beverages.

  • @psychicbyinternet And YOU need to know that i have mentally blocked out EVERYTHING you have said. So you've wasted your time lol.

    Blocked, moron =-D

I WILL NOT READ ANY OF YOUR REPLIES I WILL MERELY DELETE THEM!

    Owned, you alcoholic prick! HA!

  • @oOCaptainCrazyOo Whatever. I don't really care. I had no idea this would turn into a flame war.

  • @oOCaptainCrazyOo

If you blocked the answers out halfwit then why did you answer. Thats right it was between breaks in playing with yourself...

  • Sit, Ubu, sit...good dog.

  • when i hear this song, it makes me think that the world has changed from then, and it makes me sad. It was a nice, peaceful time.

  • nice song and nice show :) reminds me of a time when people can look at eachother without getting into a fight, A time where everyone lives in a black and white world and not that grey area where everyone is living right now..

  • one of the best tv themes EVER!

  • Is that Woody singing?

  • Wow!!! Political debate regarding the Cheers info. Lol. I was feeling a little nostalgic. So @goatherealex & @adrianlindsaylohan, how about old Ted Danson???? What a nice head of hair on that fella... Am I right?

  • Perfect - except the sound is pushed too much. So you get a clipped 'rasp'. Sad

  • I used to be afraid of this song when I was little. Because it sounds LONELY!!!

  • @steveparok00 music is so ironic like that

  • This beginning just scared the heck outta me as a kid...

At Flaaaaaming Moes, let's all go to Flaming Moes, where liquor in a mug, can warm you like a hug, happiness is just a Flaming Moe away, happiness is just a flaming Moe away.

  • Ah what a great track and a great show!

  • Afternoon, everybody.

    NORM!!!

  • @jerrymouse16 How's life treatin' ya, Mister Peterson?

Like it just caught me in bed with his wife.

  • Is Woody Harrelson singing this song throughout? It sure sounds like him at the beginning, but it sounds like someone else towards the end.

  • @trlkly Nope, it's Gary Portnoy, who also performed the theme song to "Punky Brewster."

  • Who are the 54 people who disliked this video? Really? Do you just hate everything?

  • rhea pearlman is a leg

  • Eimsbush, Cheers: /watch?v=gnIjHIk_Sug&feature=channel_video_title check it!

  • @ItsMeAndy111

    NORM!!!!

  • If you were at a bar where everybody knew your name then your probably an alcoholic :P

  • Or a prostitute...

  • @ItsMeAndy111

    Or an employee

  • @ItsMeAndy111 Thats why I walk inside high fiving everybody there, an im not alcoholic.. im student wich is equivelant :D

  • @ItsMeAndy111 lol funny

  • I went to Boston and did the tourist thing and stood outside the bar :D

  • Too bad they deleted all the videos.

  • in england there is nowhere to watch this :( i recently went to america and watched it everyday :)

  • im watching it because of scrubs..:D

  • Sigh... 80s and 90s had the most catchy and awesome theme songs to shows EVER! Not to mention the storylines....

  • That guy in the last shot is like "Yeah, you're watching Cheers, the most awesome show ever."

  • Best TV theme song of all time! I used to watch the show with my parents back in the late 80's/early 90's. Was too young to understand the show (born in 1986), but the opening credits of Cheers are something I will never forget from my childhood!

  • these is the best theme song ever

  • This is such a feel good song. It's always been one of my favorite TV theme songs.

  • i want to go back to the early '90. economy good, no muslim terrorists, no worries....

  • @gotherealex

    and Crystal Pepsi!

    er...maybe not that. lol

  • @gotherealex "economy good," - Early 90's recession/1990 oil price shock. "no muslim terrorists" - Al Qaeda bombed the garage of the north world trade center in hopes of sending the north tower crashing into the south, that was 1993. "no worries...." - Gulf War, 1992 los angeles riots...... Anyone who says there was a time of peace and no worries is either lying, or don't know enough history.

  • @adrianlindsaylohan the recession was short and by the end of the '90 , we had a 3.5 trillion surplus. we won the gulf war which lasted less than 6months with minimal casultiies. of course, there was isolated problems, but what decade didn't and did we ever worry about muslim terrorist blowing up americans woman and children as we do now? Look at the airports idiot!. ur statement is reflective of someone who wasn't there or was just too young. i bet ur ass you got the info from a history book.

  • @gotherealex From your reply: "did we ever worry about muslim terrorist blowing up americans woman and children as we do now?" Now I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure the 90's had its own problems. Racism and drug use grew, crime rate was at a all time peak during the early 90's. You can't apply this era's fear and say it didn't exist in the 90's, so the 90's are better, because it doesn't work that way. I can conversely say that now is better because crime and racism has wanned.

  • Comment removed

  • @gotherealex AMEN!

  • @gotherealex right, because every terrorists is muslim. -_-

  • @dalusgembalus Screw him. Let's just enjoy Cheers.

  • @gotherealex ohh yea opposed to non-muslim terrrists!

  • @gotherealex And Television could be funny without having to offend anybody at all.

  • @gotherealex The Gulf War started in 1990 in Iraq. Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda bombed the World Trade Center for the first time in 1993. We were also in a world recession in the late 80's/early 90's. Not so different when you think about it.

  • lol I got here because I looked up the Flaming Moe's song and I found out it was this.

  • Sometimes I wanna go where everybody sells cocaine, the bitches selling coke

And the bitches don’t be dames, them bitches smoking dope

I wanna go where you can smoke for free..the same, so true

I wanna go where everybody sells cocaine

  • i want to be where everybody knows my name :(

  • Cheers used to be on every Friday night and during the credits i wanted to here this song and every time my brother would sing over it,we used to have fights over this.

  • The Simpson's one is better! haha! Flaming Moe's!

  • I wish I could still watch this show somewhere--miss it fondly.

  • Reminds me Thursday nights on NBC in the 80's

  • Frazier was better and had a better theme

  • I need a ginger ale

  • I despised this show, but I always stuck around long enough for the theme song.

  • Sam, Rebecca, Carla, Cliff, Woody, Frasier and Norm.

Although I like Diane and Coach, this was the classic line-up for me. Use to watch this with my folks growing up. Love Cheers!

  • Love this theme song

  • I remember Ted Danson was the first person I ever had a crush on. I was probably 3 years old and when the show was over I would cry because I'd want him to come back on the tv haha. Sam had a way with the ladies of ALLLL ages ;)

  • Someone from the great City of Boston, please answer this question for a fan in Florida? Isn't it true that only the exterior shots for the show were taken at the Bull and Finch Bar on the park in Boston, but there is another bar in the Boston historic district that repllicates the layout and interior of the soundstage set? Only visited once, but I loved Boston. Went to the Bull and Finch and was surprised that the interior there was only slightly similar to the one we saw on the show.

  • @Flamsick

there are two cheers. The second one which is the newest one is modeled exactly like the show from the inside. Then the original cheers which is what the show was based upon has the exact outside you see in the series. And you walk in exactly the same as you do in the show. The second cheers is more for memorabilia of the show while the show was based on the original bar.

    Hope that helps:)

  • Never liked the show, loved the theme art and the pictures.

  • I've been to the original bar and set bar of cheers. thumbs up if you have been there too!

  • I remember the year the cast came to Boston for a parade. They thought it would be no big deal, and 250,000 people came out to see them

  • youtu.be/watch?v=cmfUJhYhed0

  • Whoever disliked this should be shot.

  • Am i the only 1 who hears this wanting to wave my lighter in the air with a beer in the other hand crying like my team just won the superbow? =)

  • I love playing this on piano *sigh*
