Chenzlin: I worked in S'pore in the 80's, stayed at the Goodwood Park, every nite I went to a coffee shop in Orchard Towers to listen to a singer Morani Ali, she was once married to Matthew Tan S'pore Cowboy she had a get voice, my fav song was wee duri. Since you are familiar with local S'pore talent do you know Morani and if she is still singing in S'pore, I used to be able to find where she worked when I got back to S'pore by asking entertainers in the clubs but haven't been back for years.
I was 20 years old when Tracy released "Feelings" on EMI label. I think I spent about SGD$7.00 buying the vinyl record. I instantly became her fan even till now ;)
I remember this show on Singapore TV was a series showcasing local talents weekly, they includes Anita Sarawak, Sakura Teng, Chopsticks sisters, Mila Hussien, Khatina Dahari etc etc, oh how could I forget those days.....
My sister would wake up to these songs in the mid to late 70's. It played on the radio everymorning. RTM Blue Network, somethinglike that. Just the way you are...
We were in school and we found her cassette by chance and we all brothers and sister fell in love with her and since then we tried to search for songs or CD' for long time never got a chance. She is the finest singer we ever came across. Tracy we will always remember you
She's great. I was in Singapore when I hear and met her and also Anita Sarawak My brother in law was a member of the BDB group a well known Singaporean band.
I liken her to Teresa Teng in 3 ways: they both look very beautiful, they are both fm Taiwan, and both are multilingual. Just one difference, Teresa Teng is dead and Tracy Huang is alive.
Thank you so much for sharing these precious videos with us, I can tell that you've put some effort into editing them before uploading; unlike some that simply show a picture of Tracy, which I think is not interesting at all.
Those were the golden era of the late 70s, in Hong Kong, there were Teresa Carpio, Frances Yip, Lam, etc, in Singapore were Anita Sarawak, Tracy Huang etc
