The sound quality on this machine is truly impressive. The highs are quite clean as your camera picks up when you get close. The tonearm is quite interesting.. It reminds me of a machine that was made by RCA (I believe) for continuous play of 78s for radio stations
This machine has now been completely restored to a beautiful finish and enhanced bass sound. Will soon post new videos of this finished jukebox as well as some other unusual items.
Hi, CloudTheTank! Actually I have 2 copies of this record, one a white label DJ the other on the blue S&G label. I have all the other Jones Boys issues on 78 and some on 45. My favorite is the take off on "Jones Bones" (aka/ "Dry Bones"). Oddly enough I have the Gayla Peevey disc ("I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas" ) on a 45 w/PS and I think a 78 as well. Interesting stuff. Thanks much for the comment!
That Jones Boys record is rare. It's hard to find that copy. The Record could be warth some big money like "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" 78 and 45 record. I Found this one on ebay for $100 dollars. Great Song and great jukebox.
It holds twelve, obviously plays only one side...have started to restore this one with animated lights, will post another soon..thank you for subscribing, more odd ball stuff to come!
There are two separate motors: one for the "Ferris Wheel" chain record selecting mechanism. A second motor actually moves into place to meets the turntable which rotates by a rubber hub coming into contact with it. Thanks for looking, there will be more jukebox videos and unusual items to come.
