I wish I could visit every Latin country ten times over. Those I have visited I have enjoyed the people the culture, the food, the music, etc. but for some reason Ecuador has stolen part of my heart.

Totally agree with you. i'm not ecuadorian but one thing that people don't understand is that in that hispanic countries most are good humble people. it's amazing seeing the video and even though they are living a simple life they are happy and open to weold.

Agreed, they are humble and friendly but the most amazing thing is that we drove through dirt towns, towns whose population is very poor and yet they were content, they were happy and they enjoyed the simple pleasures that life has to offer.

Many people in the U.S. do not understand this concept, they find happiness only through material consumption.

I can't say enough about Ecuador and it's people - Beautiful Country, Beautiful people on the outside and the inside.

@gueronva I highly recommend a trip to Ecuador, it is beautiful and you will not be disappointed. We visited Quito and traveled to Esmeraldas, Atacamas which is approximately 350 km distance. We visited so many little towns in between and they were all unique and interesting in some way.

There are dirt poor towns with a lot of poverty, so if that is a problem as it is with some people then you may want to stick to the large cities, I find a certain charm to every town.

@gueronva Even in the dirt poor towns, I found that the people are happy and very friendly.  As I posted 2 years ago, I find Ecuador, it's people, it's food, culture, music and atmosphere beautiful and charming. I wish you the best in your travel and hope you enjoy this beautiful country and people of that country as much as we did.

My husband and I loved Ecuador. We went there last year and plan to go back next year. Such a small country yet it has plenty to offer. Siera, Oriente, Costa. Love the food and the people.

Americans and all other foreigners are pretty well welcomed in Ecuador, Ecuadorians are all about getting to know new cultures, what i can tell you is that ecuador is pretty safe to go to, this is a country that has so much to offer... don't believe the all those sensationalist news that inhibit people from traveling, there is danger everywhere if u come to think about it...

Creo que Saraguro es un ciudad, creo que no estan lenguas....QUECHUA es una lengua de las indigenas .....QUECHUA is a language spoken by the indigenous people in Ecuador, but most people all speak Spanish there.
