@Falloutfan961 in the actual story, Johnson wasnt at the PoA when chief was there, the Legendary ending was a blooper, so to speak. the heretic facility in H2 was an ancient Forerunner facility, so there could have been flood stored there for study, or some flood might have gotten off the ring but were caught by the heretics and brought to the Forerunner facility.

I can just picture the Chief casually walking behind the jackal and assassinating him with a BR. Then, he just kicks the corpse off the waterfall. The rest of the patrolling Covenant pick up their weapons and open fire on the Chief. The Chief takes out his Sniper Rifle and snipes the Elite. As the rest of the lower-species panic, Chief takes out his BR once again and headshots each of them in sync with the music. Once everyone's dead, he simply walks away with his BR on his shoulder.
