  • Thumbs up if your watching this in 2011 ! :)

  • This was my most favorite noveltoon! Thanks for uploading this!

  • 4 people dont know good cartoons

  • The first selection the Mice orchestra perform is (middle section of) the Poet and Peasant Overture (Dichter und Bauer) by Franz von Suppe. The second piece is (finale of) the William Tell Overture [aka Lone Ranger theme] by Gioachino Rossini.

  • someone even you download the bored cuckoo 1948.

  • I've been looking for this for MONTHS! The cassette that had this on it got shredded by our defective player. This was easily my favourite cartoon ever. Thank you so much for uploading this.

  • I fucking love this, but i've been looking for the song that the mice play when they go postal on hep cat's ass, if anyone can tell me, i'd be pretty fucking happy, thx ^_^

  • @Irishdrunkenpyro725 Sorry for double posting, but I since I know the answer --- William Tell Overture, it's what inspired my search to find this and watch it again. ;)

  • poor hepcat :(

  • The Pied Piper Overture is made up by the man who compiled this cartoon. I know its a great tune and I wish it existed. Maybe youll have to compose it yourself.

  • 3:22 funny face

  • Great!!! what is the name of the song performed by the cat at the end ? just like Scotland music. please tell...

  • 3:34 - 3:40 = hilarious!

  • haha aaawesome!!

  • what's the name of the song performed by the cat at the beggining?

By the way, Does Pied Piper Overture really exist? I've searching for a while, with no apparent results. :(

  • @Aleph20 -- Nope...although quite a few artists have recorded pop songs called "Pied Piper". I like Donovan's, myself....

  • Gotta love classical music. The old cartoon's were violent, eh? reminds me of Tom and Jerry, I miss the good ol days.

  • i just wish it didn't end so violently...

  • are you talking of the cartoon or the music...

  • I love the Poet and Peasent Overture

  • This was originally released in February 1949... Seymouir Kneitel was good at directing any Paramount cartoon featuring a musical theme {Popeye's "Me Musical Nephews" (1942) and "Symphony In Spinach" (1948), and Herman & Katnip's "Mousetro Herman" (1956)}...

  • One of the funniest of all classic cartoons is still just as funny now as it was years ago. Wish I could say the same for others.

  • The mice were playing the "Poet and the Peasant Overture" by Franz Von Suppe, 'centrilius'...

  • I love that cartoon!

  • What's the name of the song the mice were orchestrating before ol' cat bugged them with his double bass? That's one of my favorite songs in any cartoon thus far.
