It was Todd Fink from The Faint.. it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. It says its Fink on the Wikipedia page for Fevers and most lyric pages. It does sound like Conor at first listen, but if you listen to it closely you can just tell it isn't his voice. I don't know exactly where you can find the solid proof of it, but I'm sure it isn't Conor. If you turn the sound way up on your speakers during the interview, towards the end you can hear the real Conor saying shit in the background
WOW! i just got one of those little guitars, and i wondered if anyone else used them. I never knew conor used one. I feel like it was a great investment now haha.
This is possibly one of my favorite Bright Eyes songs. A part of me hated how short it is, at first but at the same time it means so much and is so powerful despite being short. Very few songs have the power of this one, with just the emotions and lyrics and everything. <3
Also I love the lyric change as well and that he does that live and can pull it off without it taking away from the original, if anything its even more special.
@fuckme1nce The way I personally see it, there is no definite meaning. I'm sure maybe when he was writing it, it was specific to something in his life but now its basically yours. What I'm trying to say is that music is open for interpretation, so in my opinion the meaning is whatever it means to you. And theres no right or wrong or definite answer. =) Thats whats so amazing about music and art in general. Sorry if I'm no help at all haha
@YoseMiteEmery Actually, I'm pretty sure it's Todd Fink. it even say's it's Todd Fink on the wikipedia page for Fevers and Mirrors. It doesn't even sound like Tim Kasher
dont comment on him being drunk and such, because, if that's what makes him happy, he's not hurting anyone (except mabye himself.) So let him live the rest of his life and write his amazing music.
yeah choobooo. go listen to your top 40-studio-doctored-up lip-syncing-soon-to-be-american idol-flavor-of-the-month-garbage. maybe youd like conors songs better if clay aiken were singing them. they could put fran drescher in a recording studio and make her sound like lucianno pavarotti. this is real music. i think the mtv youtube videos youre looking for are that way---->
i read an interview where he said he wished he had the kind of charisma on stage that Michael Stipe has, doesn't think he does.
never saw Michael Stipe live, but i haven't seen too many performers with the presence and charisma of this guy. people who can effect a crowd like he can amaze me. what a talent.
this show was so powerful - no way to capture it fully on video, as good as this is.
as a new fan, i'd never have thought of that as a drunken performance - it was so sharp and strong and beautiful. also seemed organized and professional. i was stunned and transported.
that was such a beautiful show. first row, right section... actually, he didnt seem that drunk at all compared to the other two Bright Eyes shows i've seen.

@pilarxwagnr - you're not hating....it is supposed to be ironic and a satire towards the media.
