  • can i ask wht's the song from ? wht's the name and singer ? thx :)

  • Hi Gary - I am not sure - it is actually an audio swap from youtube - the original version had "Black Parade" from My Chemical Romance.

  • Hey Great video!!.

To see the UK St John Ambulance responding to a racing incident at Brands hatch, check out the video. Brands Hatch crash 2010-St John Ambulance.

It is the full video unedited, as some other videos have been edited. There is great footage of Crusader 900 Ambulances going round the race track to the crash. You will be pleased to know nobody died in the incident.

  • @Rob1992SJA Great - thanks for commenting!

  • Hi there, this is Gary from Hong Kong St. John and i was the member of Brisbane Central No. 1 Division before, i miss the all good days in australia.

  • Any body in division 61c?

  • I am in SJAB Hong Kong, let's keep up the good work :)

  • Thanks for watching - glad you liked it!

  • Is it still the brigade with ranks over there? I know in Canada they got rid of all that jazz and I think its one of the best things they could have done. A paramilitary structure in a VOLUNTEER service just doesn't settle right with me.

  • Hi,

We are no longer the brigade in Australia - just St John Ambulance Australia. However we do have the rank structure and it seems to be working effectively.

We have a number of volunteer emergency services with a similar set up - the Rural Fire Service, State Emergency Service etc.

    Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • In England, we still have ranks and shit. (: When you sign up to st john, you understand there are ranks involved, and whatnot, that's my view, anyway.

  • im in st john in england keep up the good work everyone

  • Thanks! Keep up your good work too!

  • I'm from Fairfield Division - good to see some promotional material around!

  • Enjoy!

  • Iam a cadet too of st.John ...

  • Hey Ismael - thanks!

  • wow, busy night then. lol.

well, its a great video! =)

  • yeah, it is pretty ironic that. lol. youch. hope everything went alright, nothing major.

  • Well in the end we had about 6 St Johnnies, plus 4 ambos. We were pretty tired - but it inspired a good little video - was a good night from a team work and bonding perspective.

  • iloved it! great pick of music, coz, of course, when we're parading we ARE the 'black parade' XD lol!!!

    thanks a lot for posting!

  • Yes - quite fitting - lots of meaning ful bits... ironic that the idea came to me when we were on duty at a MCR concert - getting smashed with casualties....

  • I am with St John Ambulance in England, great to meet you all! ^_^

    mick

  • Thanks Mick - glad you liked it - am just deciding song choice....

  • I work with SJA England. I've always felt welcome, I used to be in the scouts but never really got on well. SJA is just organised, everyone knows what to do, everyone knows everyone else, we all get on, etc.

    Also, the + sides:

Free biscuits at training and evenings

    Free coffee

    Awesome uniform

And not forgetting (Free entry to the football :P)

Only kidding about the last, you become an "info post"

  • Hi - I am glad you enjoy your time with St John - certainly the free coffee is a must have on the cold football fields. Does St John do the premier league games?

  • Not sure, i think it's upto the club whether they have their own first-aiders or get St John in. All i know is that every football match HAS to by law have an ambulance from the statutory ambulance service seated there (I assume from the SCD incidents).

  • Would be a good gig one way or the other...

  • And by Statutory ambulance service i mean the NHS Ambulance Trust (With paramedics). St John are usually there for minor injuries, and if (god forbid) there were two heart attacks at the same time.

  • I too work with SJA in Canada and this is a great video, showing some excellent images of what we do, and the people who it. well done. cheers,

  • Thanks! Some real international flavours.

  • I'm a St John member too. this is a great video anywayz :)

  • Thanks!

  • I joined St John 3 weeks ago and I love it. The video shows how good people are at working togther and how they make a differance. I was previously in the Army Cadet Force and out of St John and the ACF I'd choose St John Any day

  • Thanks for the comment Beck - I think St John is a great way for kids and other people to give something back to the community! Are you coming to World Youth Day in July?

  • Not Sure, Not heard anything about it. Hopefully I can, Where is it at ?

  • Well it is on in Sydney - lots of big events with the pope....get your Super to keep an eye out for you.

  • St John is my life. I live and breathe St John every day. I Work for St John as well as volunteer. You Can't bet that. I have been involved for 11 years. Keep up the good work.

    Yours in service

  • Glad you enjoyed the vid.
