This emulation is doubtlessly one of the nicest I've seen as far as the graphics and the global esthetics are concerned, but I am disappointed about its poor difficulty. Although I suppose that's not its point.

2nd step: Go back a littile to you come to a pipe

Final step: jump on the ? mark block and jump to the pipe above you go in it and put the key into the keyhole

Then your done =)

"Brutal" probably doesn't refer to the difficulty level of the game. The creator is Japanese and from what I've seen has a slightly loose grasp of the English language and maybe meant something else when he called it Brutal Mario.

Okay, that's a weird hack for many reasons:

1)It's in Japanese.

2)The background is from Yoshi's Island.

3)Orb?!

4)The Pre-Boss acts almost exactly like the boss in Yoshi's Island: you push the guy and the pillar off instead.

5)At the end where the bridge appears, it goes the wrong way.

If the rest of the game is like that, that isn't brutal. It's a weak hack filled with cheap tricks. Super Demo World is much more brutal than "Brutal Mario".

Oh, well, the reason people like this hack is because of all the asm hacks and custom sprites, not so much because of the level design. I dunno if you've played this yet, but there are bosses from several different games in this, including the Megaman series, the Kirby series, a few RPG bosses I've never heard of(I don't play rpgs much), and bosses from other Mario games like the SMB3 Bowser.

For example, the SMB3 Bowswer acts almost exactly the same as the real SMB3 Bowser, you even have to defeat him in the same way, by making him stomp through a brick floor.
