Ok I'm guessing that Malin's beef is solely with Yuri, and I think kasumi's school is a rival to kyokugenryu? (is this true?) but what's Eiji's beef with Kyokugenryu?
Eiji wants to take down the Kyokugen school since it's the only one his clan has yet to surpass. He mostly wanted to defeat Takuma since he ran the school, though he had health problems that kept him from fighting in KOF XI. Therefore, Eiji decided to take down Ryo instead.
Kasumi wants to beat Ryo since her father (Ryuhaku Todoh, who you may remember from CVS2) was defeated by him. Also, Ryuhaku is a rival of Takuma's due to personal grudges and financial struggles.
