when i was a kid i remember being told that, fair rides are unsafe because they need to be packed away and rebuilt on site, and that they are less stable than proper amusement park rides, and then i found out about this girl whose hair got caught in a ride and she ended up losing half her scalp. not pretty.

I can't go on ANY of those rides without wanting to vomit afterwards. Actually, if I went on either of those rides, I probably WOULD vomit. When I was a kid, I could do anything without getting sick. I HAVE BEEN CURSED.

@ISnoggedHarry i think that's actually fairly common (to be more prone to motion sickness when you get older) - don't know why though. did you go on any of the rides at WWoHP?

@elfkwest Yeah, I went on Forbidden Journey. I thought I was going to die. I had to look down into my lap during the parts where we were meant to watch the screen (closing my eyes completely was almost just as bad). The other stuff wasn't AS bad (animatronic dementors and the like). Afterwards, I couldn't stop shaking. I barely even got to see the park. I felt so ill (then again, hadn't had any food or even water all day) that I left the park. Devastating.

I don't do any rides at the fair ground (except the tea cup one, lol) because I don't like being scared and I don't like the feeling in your stomach when it lurches (even in a car!) but I do like candy floss (cotton candy), so if I go to a fair I eat candy floss and hold everyone's coats/bags/phones etc, while they go on the rides.
