  • If what you are doing isn't an issue you wouldn't need a support group for it. Eat what tastes good to you and leave 'lifestyle / way of life' out of it. It's food; not an identity.

  • The girl sitting in the background at 1:10 looks like a zombie, lol. Good example of someone who needs MORE GOOD FATS :S lol whooaaaaa

  • I am glad I stepped on this video. I was just wondering about raw in social situations, espessially parents.

Well, I still wonder what happens if you want to keep a raw diet for your children, how do you deal with grandmas's (our parent's) negative reactions-or even actions that spoil this diet?

  • Great insights! Thanks for sharing/ Sincerely, L.L.

  • this advice was very well said ... thank you...

my dad was the same way .... he went home and told the whole town his daughter has become a tree hugging hippie. Funny... I always thought thats who i was.. nice he sees it too. I feel so good now that i can just be

  • I aim to eat as much raw food as I possibly can every single day, and hope to go 100% raw at some point. It's rather challenging when you're in college, but I somehow manage to be entirely vegan.

  • fucking retards!! i am suprised they arent passing around a bowl while they sit in their pow wow. Its worse than watching LifeTime.

  • @allycatbling

what does that even mean? lol

  • See, I'm okay with people who have 'unusual' diets when they don't press their views upon others. She's not putting out false facts, she's not looking down on others, she's just enjoying the food she eats the way she wants to eat it.

  • @somuchluv89 you're a skinny bitch >_>

  • i just ate an entire pepperoni pizza

  • Tonya Kay is just so positive and cool. Totally dissolving the negative stereotype of the raw vegan. Raw food is fun and freeing!

  • Very Nice Tonya!!! I'd love to interview Tonya sometime on her lifestyle as a whole not just her diet but her core values. She's great.

  • Crazy girls are good in bed...

  • LOL "my doctor says..." what an attractive goddess.

  • I have been forced by my protesting body to move to a raw food diet. I'm not there yet, but I'm grateful for all the great youtube videos out there that help. There are precious few people in NH who eat this way.

  • This is not negative, but ignorant...Why would eating a cooked vegetable be less healthy than a raw vegetable?

  • do some research and you'll find out. dont be ignorant... lol

  • Enzymes, protein bioavailability, vitamin quality, mineral absorbency.

  • Cool

  • Hi Tonya! It's your beautiful body and you know best what fuel it runs on. I am one of those omnivores but completely respect and support your way.

  • Tonya, I love all your videos. I really relate to you in so many ways! I grew up on a cattle farm and my family says the same thing: "Then WHAT do you eat?" They still don't get it after more than 15 years.

  • I have that same exact dress!

  • sounds very good but my mother never eat anything raw except fruits and she is a diabetic, my brother is worst, how do you live with cooked meat eating family?

  • I find that the best thing is to just concentrate on your own eating and some people when they see you healthy will ask questions. Hope it helps

  • how do raw foodists eat potatoes?

raw potatoes taste all funky and starchy uncooked, what do you do?

  • i actually prefer raw potatoes over cooked. not sure what the big deal is

  • @8IT4U Yeah, I know Its a bit late question (over a year, haha), but how do u prepare them? do u juice them?

  • hmm, i don't miss potatoes. Going raw opens you to a world of alternatives, like what i believe is the real "pomme de terre". That literally means 'apple of the Earth' in French & that's how they refer to potatoes. But sunchokes, also called Jerusalem artichokes, are nothing like artichokes, but are very well described as Apples of the Earth. There's also Jicama, sweet potatoes, yams, beets, parsnips, celeriac. There's a vid here on youtube using jicama to make raw "fries", for instance

  • These people are so positive, it scares me. I want to go raw, but being a happy individual is something I'm not ready for!

  • How honest of you. Great comment!!!

  • thats a shame....

  • @nerdpanda

Well you won't be anything you don't want to be by going raw
