Look at it CLOSELY you can clearly see that it is dark against the bright moon...all except for a bright light to its right & above. This is CLEARLY the tailight of the plane. There appears to be a lighter part at the front (possibly another (dimmer) light. Also if it was a shadow please explain how it could be angled left when the sun never moves that way from the vantage point of the moon!!!

If you look between 14-16 sconds the object leaves a clear shadow on the moon. You can also tell from the shadow that the object almost touches the surface of the moon...it almost swerves to avoid hitting it...thats how it looks to me anyway :D

I am the older brother of sandawarren who also first saw this video while having a family get together. I don't know what was flying across the moon that night but it is not a fake video.
Remember though that in a night time shot like this, we cant be sure whether its huge and very far away or small and near the camera. A shot like this can be very deceptive. Looking as it passes through the light side of the moon it could very well be a small plane and the light is just a normal light on the aft end of the plane. Without the ability to determine the distance, mine is just as a plausible explanation as the UFO option.

I can testify to this footage being unaltered. My brother is the one who captured this object on film. He showed it to our family while we where together on vacation this summer. Straight out of the camera with RCA plugs on a TV. It is exactly how he filmed it. No tricks. He can barely answer his e-mail. He is not capable of faking video footage. Sorry Bro! Thank you for you interest in my video. I wanted to let you know that this was filmed on a tripod. When I saw the object pass through my view screen I tryed to follow it with the camera on the tripod. I think I may have been trying the loosen the adjustments that would alow me to move the camera more easily because everything was sinched up for a stationary shot. I tryed to zoom into the object futher, at one point, in the video but wasn't able to stay on it very well with it zoomed in more.

I do a lot of light set up in 3d studio max and photography, and in order to create a shadow like that the object that casts the shadow should be fairly close to the surface, in this case at least much closer to the moon than to earth.
You can see the shadow is not much bigger that the object casting the shadow, wich can only happen when the object is close to the surface.
The shadow of a plane would have faded so much and grown so much...

I don't think it is a plane because it casts a shadow on the moon. and that shadow appears on the moon at the same time that the object passes through the sun light. If it was a plane that shadow either wouldn't have been cast or it wouldn't have been so large that you wouldn't have been able to see the shadow at all because of it's distance from the moon

This flying object seems to have a similar appearance to other footages of UFO's spotted all around the world. It seems to have a circular shape, moves and luminates exactly what you've captured. We can expect to see more of these type of sightings in the next coming years. The shadow on the moon seems too large and it's in the wrong position.
There's a secondary light source to the one lighting up the moon.
I suspect it's a model of the moon in a dark room.
No stars,clouds or anything else to suggest that this is the real moon.

My best guess is what people are thinking is the object is actually the aircraft lights and what people think is the lunar shadow is actually the aircraft body.
From it's shape my guess is a small one engine plane, like a cessna.

I thought of that too.. But it came to my mind that it would be too difficult for panning and to follow the object at that zoom. If the object was closer to Earth as you were saying, it have appeared like a silhouette passing at milliseconds on the view of the moon.. But good analyzation by the way.. Most people would have dismissed it right away.. Appreciate that.

Remember though that in a night time shot like this, we cant be sure whether its huge and very far away or small and near the camera. A shot like this can be very deceptive. Looking as it passes through the light side of the moon it could very well be a small plane and the light is just a normal light on the aft end of the plane. Without the ability to determine the distance, mine is just as a plausible explanation as the UFO option.

Can't believe there are people so dumb enough to say that this is a plane or chopper.. Clearly, a shadow is casted in the surface on the moon meaning. However, i get this feeling of a "Government Propaganda" due to the timing of the appearance of the object and the eclipse. It intentionally wants to be seen and filmed by a lot of people. I can testify to this footage being unaltered. My brother is the one who captured this object on film. He showed it to our family while we where together on vacation this summer. Straight out of the camera with RCA plugs on a TV. It is exactly how he filmed it. No tricks. He can barely answer his e-mail. He is not capable of faking video footage. Sorry Bro! Is it a UFO or simply an airplane? Well it is unidentified, it is flying and it is an object. Other than that, who knows.

...I am not sure if the shadow and light cast incorrect on the surface of the moon .
The streak of light seems very straight on the left side.
one other thing is the very mild camera shake, at these focal lengths one would expect heavier camera shake when panning.
Just keep your camera aimed at the moon more often, not just when eclipses occur., more might show up :-)

Thank you for you interest in my video. I wanted to let you know that this was filmed on a tripod. When I saw the object pass through my view screen I tryed to follow it with the camera on the tripod. I think I may have been trying the loosen the adjustments that would alow me to move the camera more easily because everything was sinched up for a stationary shot. I tryed to zoom into the object futher, at one point, in the video but wasn't able to stay on it very well with it zoomed in more.

If this video isn't faked, the UFO would be huge, really huge, like miles and miles huge.
Which some "official" sources say do exist.
I believe it was Bob Dean who talked about UFO's present on the moon, sized over a mile and that was only a small one he said...

strange, very weird how people can think it's a plane.
I do a lot of light set up in 3d studio max and photography, and in order to create a shadow like that the object that casts the shadow should be fairly close to the surface, in this case at least much closer to the moon than to earth.
You can see the shadow is not much bigger that the object casting the shadow, wich can only happen when the object is close to the surface.
The shadow of a plane would have faded so much and grown so much...

I don't think it is a plane because it casts a shadow on the moon. and that shadow appears on the moon at the same time that the object passes through the sun light. If it was a plane that shadow either wouldn't have been cast or it wouldn't have been so large that you wouldn't have been able to see the shadow at all because of it's distance from the moon

This flying object seems to have a similar appearance to other footages of UFO's spotted all around the world. It seems to have a circular shape, moves and luminates exactly what you've captured. We can expect to see more of these type of sightings in the next coming years.
