This is yet another great song from the 20th Century composing phenom Andrew Webber that does not disappoint. It shines with those of the same caliber from The Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Cats. The line “And as for fortune and as for fame, I never invited them in, … , They are illusions, They are not the solutions they promised to be” is very true.

Only if politics could be a drama this touching and beautiful!

Despite what some people are saying,Evita didnt sing anything. She died many many years before the song was written ABOUT her,not for her. The play and movie are a biographical musical =) hope that helps.

No one performs like Madonna. She was born for this role and I don't think any other actress could have really brought the passion and fierce survival instinct to the part. She was phenomenal in this particular film! You might not like her, but you cannot deny that she has talent.
