  • wow the fhi is good however wow your head looks really damaged (no offense) you should go natural, best thing i ever did ;-)

  • I have been using this one for years and it is very healthy for your hair. My hair is really fine and I straighten a lot so I need that or my hair will fall out. Its technology far surpasses sedu, chi, which I have tried and even some hai models

  • @goodlooka33 Oh cool! I have gone natural now and don't straighten mine yet but I do straighten my daughters' hair with it and I still love the flat iron after all this time. It was an excellent investment! My new channel is GurlGoneNatural on here and on FB, just got that one going today! So if you're into hair and makeup and want to follow along, check me out! Thanks for your comment, have a great evening!

  • Nobody has a comparison of Fhi and chi flatirons! What's your opinion?

  • @Jusslykfireworks1 I have never used a Chi but I hear that they are awesome. Personally, I've gone natural now so I won't be investing in any other flat irons unless I decide at some point to blow out & straighten my hair. Thanks for you comment! :-)

  • If you want a professional straightener and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair. You can buy from My Hair Styling Tools or Hair Products Pro. Good luck and I hope this helps.

  • Just a friendly suggestion: because your hair is already straight from the relaxer, you really dont need to go over 320 degrees when flatironing. I think that 275-320 is sufficient, especially for your hair because you are relaxed bone straight.

  • @brownnbubblie Thanks for your comment! I've gone natural now... I am however using my FHI still because I'm wearing a sew in currently. You are absolutely right, that temp was too high for my permed hair! Not sure what it's going to be when I hit my year and get my hair straigtened but I'll try and do a video at that point also! :-)

  • wow, your hair looks good. My hair is fine but frizzy and I need to use it at 380-400! i have tried lower temp, and just go poofy next day...i am looking into ghd bc everyone raves about it and the temp is not so high

  • @janiekendle Thanks a lot! I've heard great things about GHD also but have never tried it. Let me know how it works out for you!

  • o and i purchased a shiner that works wonderful and works as a heat protectant. Im black and it gives a wonderful shine to my hair without making it have a greasy build up. It's by Garnier Frutis its called Sleek&Shine. It works wonderful and its only like $5 at walmart. again dont knock it till u try it, despite the brand. Some people are apprehensive about it because Garnier Frutis is usually for white people but they love it after they try it.

  • @MissMe2ma I have used garnier products before and like them even though it's marketed to caucasian women. BTW, $25 is an AWESOME price for the FHI! I think probably what you got the is "Technique" and that's why yours doesn't have the temp control dials but it's an FHI all the same! Good for you, enjoy it!

  • i just bought a fhi iron yesterday from sally's, there are having some kind of sale where red tags are a extra 50% off, so my 1" iron was only $25 dollars. It doesnt have the tempture dial on sooo! i was told by my beautician it was a great iron and a great price so i got it and will be using it soon. but i enjoyed watching this as like a tutorial. Thankx

  • this is a random question but do u think your hair is long enough to cornrow... mine is about the same length and i want it done... great vid btw...u seem lovely :) x

  • @JaTo100 Yes it was long enough to cornrow... I used to do that on the weekends and wear a braid out! Thanks!

  • The "hot sauce" is basically for when you blow dry your hair...use the silk essencial by design essencials....you'll like that better!

  • @jparrish78 Thx, will pass on the info to others who ask about the hot sauce. I've gone natural now so I don't even use any heat at this point :-) Thx for your comment!

  • @jparrish78 Thanks!

  • can u please show us how the fhi plug looks like...i bought an fhi recently and am scared that it might be fake! thankx

  • @appiah777mensah I will try and remember to show you in a future video... If you bought it from a retailer I can almost guarantee it's not a fake. CHI however is widely counterfeited... just make sure you keep your receipt and if it dosen't work, you have a 1 year warranty on it, so by all means utilize it! These flat irons are too expensive to be taken advantage of. I bought mine off Ebay but Im sure it's the real deal. I've even dropped it a couple of time and it still works like new! Good luk

  • i just got that flat iron but the 1' and it makes my hair feel amazing it was definitley worth the money

  • @KISstudio12 That's great! I'm going natural now so my hair is really really short but I'm going to buy me a 1" for when I get ready to straighten my hair back out without the perm!

  • @LivingTheDreamMag yea it works good on AA hair i have mixed hair because my mom is puerto rican and my dad is black/native american and my hair is hair to manage,,, but this sleeks down the hair and lasts for quite a while.

  • @KISstudio12 I'm natural now and can't wait till I get to my one year mark so I can do my blow out.... I agree, it was definitely worth the money!

  • your hair is short and thin. why are you using such a high heat?

  • @naijasweetie13 My hair was at the time of this video medium (close to shoulder) length, and very thick... not sure what you were seeing on the video... I tried all settings & that was the minimum setting that got the results I was looking for :-)

  • @LivingTheDreamMag maybe the density of your hair is thick but the diameter of the hair is fine.. but anyways... 5 stars!! =)

  • How come you got the big size when your hair is so short? ;p

  • @habbobeyond ...So short? You must have extremely long hair if you consider that my hair was so short in this video... the size I chose was just a matter of personal preference :-)

  • @LivingTheDreamMag ohh. Well it's still gorgeous none the less!

  • @habbobeyond Thanks!

  • TJ maxx and Ross sale Chi items also. The prices are much less and they are the real Chi products...

  • Wow I didn't know that, I am going to try the Chi ones too and I've cut my hair really short now so I'll check out Ross and TJ Maxx for some new ones! Thanks for the info!

  • I just purchased mine from amazon. can't wait to try it. Your hair came out amazing.

  • Thank you so much! I know you'll love it!
