  • I still have it, brings good memories!!

  • Hell yeah, Gamecube forever. Amazing machine and catalogue.

Losing Rare really messed up its momentum though, we lost at least 3 games (Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Banjo 3), because of it.

  • I watched this video SO MANY times back in the day.

  • hahaha, it's funny how some of this games actually never made it to a launch date. I remember waiting for that Pokemon party game, or that Zelda game which looked awesome for the technology 10 years ago, and unfortunately RaRe changed it's owner which is Microsoft now and Perfect Dark Zero never came out for a nintendo console, such a shame

  • I wish I could be there.

  • Sorry to say, Wii,

but N64 and Gamecube had some of THE BEST GAMES EVAR!

It even had all the Zelda's!

  • damn, the graphic, campared to today, was very crappy ^^

  • @lunatic1988

and in 10 years from now current graphics will look "crappy" as well... judge a game more by its art style than by how many polygons it can push

  • @df61660a i mean to the "today" gamecube graphics ^^ sry, war drunken when i wrote this ;P look at zelda.. the people get crazy ... and now, twilight princess is veeery beautiful compared to this

  • I love the reaction people have with the Zelda clip, its just amazing

  • Gamecube's controller was the best, because it fit well in the gamers hands and it implemented camera controll. Wii is great and all, but theres no default camera control, I fear it will revert to the classic control of the n64, where in zelda, you just need to press Z to reallign the camera.

  • @onilink422 Yes, but, people have a disease and think that the Playstation's controller is better, I mean, I can't control the guy well if the stick is fuckin below it's best position, the gamecube was the best of its time

  • @EXHellfire yeah, I know what you mean..

  • The Gamecube is one of the greatest consoles ever!

  • Crowd reactions:

    Pokemon with Rockin' Meowth: ...

    Wave Race: WOO!

    Metroid: WOO!

Rogue Squadron II: Who gives a shit...

    Zelda: WOO!

    Luigi's Mansion: WOO!

    Perfect Dark: Ahh....

  • @TomServo200X rogue squadran II is awesome!

  • @zeppelin1996 I know. I LOVE it! It was one of the first games I bought for the Cube back in 2001!

  • sorry to ask, but what is the pokemon game in the vid? is it like a beta of something, or did it never get released at all? thanks

    -Bryan

  • i may be wrong, But i think its just a tech demo.

  • @nintendoguy360 ok thanks! and btw, are u excited for super mario galaxy 2 just like me? just wonderin

  • Yeah i am!!! Im also pretty excited for metroid other M aswell.

  • @nintendoguy360 correct the tech demo from space world 2000

  • I've seriously forgotten about this video. Would anybody know the name of the song they used?

  • samus looked cool and everydoby cheered for it too yay

  • hahahaha i like how they cheered for luigis mansion

  • haha- i think they thought it was gonna be Mario and were like- WOOOHO- oh wait...

  • after i saw this video on tv i bought a Gamecube wen it came out! really for one game 'Zelda spaceworld 2000'...and i never got it! i really wanted to see what that fight was about. this 'fake-commercial' is the nr 1 Nintendo blunder in my book. every other game made it into the stores, and i have some. but boy Nintendo you really disapointed me...

  • I was amazed at the zelda bit aswell. I was thinking geez this is going to be loads faster than PS2.

It was the same with the XBOX robot demo that really blew me away I thought nah that has got to be a video but they said it was in game footage so it must be real, they can't lie on tv can they.

  • I was like oh my god I'l have to get one of these theres no way PS2 can compete. It was the opposite the next time round tho as real xbox 360 dev kits running at 1/3 speed were demoing the games and ps3 vids we were told were in game but I knew better by then

  • yeah- as good as Wink Waker is... it would have really been nice if they hadn't gotten our hopes up like that for an Ocarina of Time sequel... not to mention I wasn't a huge fan of the Wave Race sequel... and the absence of a good Mario game was a HUGE blunder!!! and no perfect dark for Cube :\

Now, if Nintendo can just deliver to the hardcore at this E3 with the Wii lineup.

  • Wind waker wasnt even released as a complete game, they cut stuff out (little hope we will see the completed version as a new play control game)

but yeah i really looked forward to this ''Oot3'' (if we count Majora's mask as nr 2)

Nintendo please have some big news for us this E3! maybe finally a Zelda that was 100% made for the Wii, a new Wii Mario or even something new and amazing, i know you can do it! dont get lazy now because we all have a Wii already.

  • Space World 2000 tech demos Zelda - Realtime Star Wars - Realtime Mario 128 - Realtime Luigi's Mansion - Realtime Metroid - Pre-rendered FMV Wave Race - Pre-rendered FMV Rebirth Pre-rendered FMV Too Human Pre-rendered FMV Banjo-Kazooie - Realtime Perfect Dark - Realtime Pokemon Meowth's Party - Realtime Cars Demo - Realtime
  • LMAO at how no one cheered for Pokemon. XD

  • LMAO at how no one cheered for Star Wars. XD

  • Anybody know what song that is?? Or did Big N do that in-house?

  • the Waverace and Metroid clips were entirely pre-rendered CGI. while Pokemon, Zelda, Luigi's Mansion, and Starwars were realtime, running on Gamecube dev-kits. although both Zelda games: Wind Waker and Twilight Princess turned out to use a different graphical style with TP being closer to the Spaceworld 2000 Zelda clip although not the same. And Metroid Prime looked very good, even though not as good as the prerendered clip.

  • gamecub didnt flop it just got outsold nintendo made a decent profit on the gamecube and made more money that sony and microsoft with its gbas and ds's

  • Wonder what those people would have thought if they knew GCN was going to flop.

  • How did Gamecube flop? I have all the systems from the last generation and I love games on all of them, but the gamecube has had 10X more play time than the others. Mainly to SSBM. Still by no means a flop.

  • I remember this back in 2000. I was so glad to see Metroid make it's return.

It turned out that Metroid Prime was the best game on the GC.

  • Personally I'm playing Kameo right now and it's pretty cool. I think Rare's still got it.

  • whats Kameo?

  • its a game... it was originally for n64 but they ran out of time, so they movd it to gamecube, thn microsoft bought rare and released it on xbox360

  • Kameo was never going to be on the N64. It was going to be on the Xbox, but got moved to the 360. You're getting Kameo mixed up with Dinosaur Planet, which was originally for the N64, but was released for the Gamecube as Star Fox Adventures.

  • wrong about kameo origionally for Gamecube then xbox then xbox 360

  • @Toad64 you still playing Kameo after 4 years?

  • good point. But I'm guessing the games will get better down the road, right?

  • ahh, if only nintendo had kept Rare

  • Why? so they could end up with sub-par haloesque FPS?

  • Perfect Dark was before Halo so STFU and die!!!

  • @animecard and die? wow, ignorance is kinda hateable if they say stuff like that, but... i think he should just read some info before talking

  • I love Nintendo fan crowd reactions. :-) Of course, I'd have been there whooping it up with everybody else. You think Miyamoto signs body parts?
