Really guys, I think this was the worst title ever in the NFS series. I played in Xbox 360, PS2, PC, I haven't played the PS3 version at all but I really don't think that it's any better than those above. On the PC and X360 the game purely sucks but the PS2 version was just... oh the horror... reflections all over the screen, menus were designed by a monkey probably.
Ya.. they put alot of work into the game. But you can also put alot of work into taking a shit, and it doesn't mean what comes out is pretty. They tried, but this game was sooooo far away from anything that worked in previous versions that it seemed like an entirely different company produced it. a shit-company.
Sad, because I adored NFS Porsche, UG1, UG2... hell NFS 2 SE was my first computer game that I ever played so I have a certain bond with this series. Probably that's why I'm so pissed off at them for Pro Street, Carbon, this one right here. Now with Shift is tricky because even though is not a pure sim, it is quite enjoyable. I'm a sim guy and when they released it it felt like the was saying sorry to everybody for the previous titles. Let's hope they don't fuck the next one up.
Hey I got GRID, love the game, alot better than NFS. But it's still too arcade for me.. Although I do like the demolition derby! hehe Had some great fun in those races. I played around 25-30 laps of demoliton derby, and me and some other dude survived, the rest were totalled! lol

Ok first off, I have an AMD 64 x2 2.2ghz processor, and I just installed a nvidia 9800gt 512mb 256 bit video car and I have 4gigs of ram. Can I run this at medium to high settings on 1440x900 resolution?
@rehman6941363 Hmm, you SHOULD be able to run it, at max? Idk. But you should be able to at least run it. The RAM would be the first thing i'd upgrade, especially if you are on Vista.
I don't know why its too sentitive.. NFS Underground 2 gameplay is far better.
Plus, I can't play it with joystick, because the buttons are all mixed up, I can't drive in manual... SUCKS!! There isn't any configuration for the buttons...
you should know that the gforce 9800 gt already needs 400w MINIMUM, so to be honest try to get some new power supply with min 600w or more, depends on what hardware you use, 3-4gb ram and maybe an intelcore2dou cpu with 6ghz, these things are already tested for the gforce 9800gt with best results^^ greetz from germany
Beistard1 In all seriousness it actually MIGHT be a lack of power. When I experianced drive screw-up and bluescreens it turned out to be a PSU deal.
Devilpr - That is an interesting view on the games graphics. I assume you have heavy AA and Stropics on full. On my system it doesn't like anything higher then 4xAA w/full.
I would have to say my biggest gripe would be at the control. Choppy steering input is resulting in jerky 'wheels' and 'car correcting'. in my opinion
yea i get perfect framerate if you look past all of the bloom and lighting and look at the actual geometry you will find out its nothing special its just shity geometry/polygon count mixed with a blinding amount of bloom and lighting to glitter it up a bit the game is fun for a while but it gets repetitive so does burnout paradise i liked the older versions of that game if your looking for a true racing game try dirt or grid but its just my opinion tho

el problema es que parece este tipo juega con el teclado y no con el mando analogo. Yo lo probe en mi PC pero aun me falta la gpu adecuada y ando viendo comprar la 9800gt que sin dudas es lo más q puedo comprar por el dinero que tengo. ese juego lo "malo" tal ves es la iluminación del sol que te corta la visibilidad dicho de sierto modo..
