Borah jones. I;m really not "pissy", she has a competent voice, but its is devoid of variety or emotional range, she just makes everything sound monotonous and uninspired. If you've heard one norah jones song, you have really heard them all. She just doesn't do anything but slow, and "soulful", but without any real soul. Its just blahhh...

Nora is playing a nylon string classical guitar and the girl accompanying her is playing a steel string acoustic guitar. They have slightly different tones. The classical guitar being a bit softer and "round", while the acoustic guitar is brighter. They probably chose that approach to enhance the texture of the rhythm bed.

I was there. I'm a huge Wilco fan and had never given Norah Jones a chance, just not my kind of music. For all of you people criticizing this performance on youtube you don't understand how perfect of a vibe her set gave off. Completely laid back, relaxed, and all around wonderful. It may not translate perfectly here, but this certainly was a faithful and excellent cover that night.

Jeff is a fantastic rock singer, even better live than on record, I can assure you. Norah did a great cover of a great song here. She makes it her own, which is the mark of a good cover.
