Actually, nothing's wrong with the Christian system. There are people within it, however, with their own agendas. When Jesus had his ministry, he preached loving your neighbor and not judging. What he said was a supplement to change the ways the Pharisees looked at Jewish law (which was a very legalistic view). Some preachers are so hell-bent on condemning this and that, but in all honesty, Jesus would be the one accepting the outcasts. The message is still love, but it's been turned legalistic.

I'm not as good at researching the bibliography as you are, but I remembered referencing books that discredit and credit God's existence through science and math when I was researching Ev vs. Cre in HS.
