Well no, a faster car yes a better car no.

The MC12 was made so the Enzo could race, and in order to dominate they needed that kind of body, which added weight in roadcar trim, and of course to stop the street MC12 from beating the Enzo in all aspects they had to detune the engine, anyway due to it's higher downforce and corsa tires the MC12 is equally fast in high speed tracks as the Enzo despite it's shortcomings and faster in handling tracks.

Love it. Monet's are meant to be put on display for people to be seen. Cars are meant to be driven, no matter how expensive. Though he did 10k worth of damage, he's gotten at least 300K GBP more use out of it than the other owners who'll end up dying and never know what it's like to drive their MC12 in the snow and on the track and on a track w snow. I think the fact that this owner takes his supercar out and bangs it around a bit, is a great example of the concept of relative wealth.

If buying a VW Golf, sets you back 10 years in lifetime savings, then sure - banging around a supercar seems nuts to you.

However, if buying an MC12 is no different to you than buying a couple of movie tickets on a Saturday night, then banging it around is not really much of an issue.

@omilio The Veyron is lighter? Don't know where you are getting your info from. Per Maserati's website dry weight = 2943 Curb weight = 3142. They Veyron comes in at a hefty 4162 curb weight. The Bugatti has been basterdized by the dozens of versions and special editions. It's a luxury super car. The MC12 was built to go racing two way different cars. Plus top speed means nothing it's just a number that you will not be able to touch almost anywhere. I would much rather have the MC12.

When a car is built for the purpose of racing, it must adhere to the RULEBOOK which limits what can, and cannot be done to it. I assure you that if the Veyron was to meet the MC12 race car, it would have it's a** handed to it to a point it wouldn't even be funny.

Race cars must run with restrictors in their intakes to limit how much power they can make. Even w/that it's still WAY faster.

@omilio lmao friend, the Veyron is NOT in any way lighter than the MC12. The MC12 weighs only 1335kg (a bit over 2900 lbs), and the Veyron weighs 1888kg (a bit over 4100 lbs).

These two cars are very different so one having options the other doesn't, has no comparison at all. One is a much newer Gt car, and one is a very serious road legal race car.
