T6's aren't as quick off the line as they are 60-100mph and 60-125mph highway pulls because of reduced torque in the 1st gear to prevent gearbox damage. 60-100mph comes in 6s, and 60-125mph in 12s. You can always spend $895 and get the IPD ECU flash that removes that torque limiter and increases the power from 272hp and 280ft-lbs of torque to 320hp / 340ft-lbs on 91 octane. Dropping to 0-60 from 6.2s to 5.2s and the 1/4 mile times from 14.4s to 13s flat.

You were told wrong, visit the Nissan Maxima official web site and look at the cars engineering specifications. My A34 Maxima has over 425hp but then again I dropped a custom Turbo in mine, no way a stock A34 has 300hp (255hp), even the new 2009 Maxima had a bump up in HP and it's still only 292hp. Sorry you were misinformed...

Which will add about 10-15hp Max (now your up to about 270hp). You can also add a Cold Air Intake, Lightweight Underdrive pulley, Cattman Headers and Dyno tuning and you may get close to 300hp. Sorry bro, I have done everything under the sun on increasing an A34 maxima's power. If you want advice, I'll help, you want recommendations, I'll help. I work with 3 national Maxima forums in the US and the numbers will never add up. Including the 3 yrs I lived in Japan working with them...

Stillen promises 26 hp on the wheels

for now it runs 1/4 mile almost as Toyota Camry V6 new (276 hp and 6-speed AT) anyway my Max has more hp otherwise it would be in an ass ))))
