I saved around 30 xmas trees this year from the streets and city dumps, and turned them into some of the best charcoal you can make for fireworks, and have all the bonfires I want. Took a sawzall and cut off all branchs, then chopped up the trunks to fit into my crucible. Used an axe but you could use a hatchet to chop em up into smaller pieces. FREE WOOD!! My entire backyard was full of trees....
