How can you quote something about "limited gov't" from 1789 when we ONLY NEEDED a minimal gov't because we didn't have nearly as many problems or issues as a people? But TIMES CHANGE! People change. Standards evolve. Of course you're gonna need a bigger gov't, but big gov't does not necessarily mean "anti-freedom." Sometimes a bigger gov't can PROTECT freedom, as many neocons might argue for defense spending.

If you value food safety, drug safety, clean water, a minimal safety net to help you get back on your feet if you get laid off, cops, firefighters, access to knowledge, an educated citizenry, etc., you should be THANKFUL for big gov't (to some extent), not pretend that it's the cause of all your 'woes', whatever the may be. I'm not saying gov't is perfect (not by a long shot), but we should APPRECIATE all those things it actually does to help our society instead of constantly bashing it.

There is such a thing as GOOD gov't. Gov't isn't ALWAYS bad! Taxation's not the end of the world! Besides, America is FAR from the most-taxed nation on Earth. And if you WANT plenty of gov't services (as well as ones you take for granted) that help society and complement the private sector, you'll need a fair degree of taxation. Taxation is just billing for gov't services by another name. That's juts how it goes. No handouts... RIGHT, teabaggers?

If you look at the American Revolution and The Enlightenment, the TEA Party put the ideas of Freedom in out head but things have not got bad enough to spark. I'm not Christian, but I do understand the principles this country was founded on, and I agree with them wholeheartedly. Christian principles are not what is corrupt, those are good principles to have. It's the people that are corrupting it. Social Justice and Liberation Theology have no place in America. They are the opposite of Liberty. This Country needs to go back to the Founding Fathers, and the values and principles that made this country once great.
