  • @mlbplayeragent lmao okkie buddy

  • @mlbplayeragent yo dude i'm only 12 but i pitch like hella good so if your still an agent when i;m like 18 i call you

  • Damn, that kid throws some heat!

  • Stephen .........you have come a far way keep it up bro !!

  • i want to see him against andrew mccutchen

  • @ben57180 Well, now we have... he struck out twice I believe.

  • Go Yankees!!

    Get him!!

    You guys need him!!

  • kershaw crap???? You don't know what you're talking about, he's going to be a stud for you, you better hope you don't get rid of him

  • He got drafted buy the nats

  • he is a freakinn BEASSSTTT. . . go San Diego Show bby

  • hes gonna be a star

  • This guy can be a dominat closer starter i dont think so

  • he'll be nothing. he tweaks that shoulder no more 103. he has nothing else.

  • he has a slider a sinker a change and he probably has an education

  • The reason that the warm states produce better athletes usually is because its warm year round... Use common sense. So I am sure a place like Cali where they can play baseball year round can produce better athletes than Indiana... However tho we may have not quite as good of athletes lets say up here in Chicago, alot of teams that come from the south have trouble because its too cold. We play in 40- degree weather all the time in shorts, a tang top and flip flops... While you guys freeze.

  • yall cant deal with the 105 degree weather with the high humidity. yall havin heat strokes down here

  • Ive pitched 150 pitch games in that weather... Nothing too difficult. It gets over 100 up here too in the summer. So far this year it has gone from -65 degrees to some 105... crazy year lol

  • i hate texans

  • me to they think their state is so awsome because its big and their biggest entertainment is classic rock music and high school football. grown ass men who went to the school 30 years ago still go watch the highschool games. their all probably just a bunch of fuckin pedophiles.

  • Who has more major league players? Texas or cali ??

i think we all no that texas is the answer!!

whos in the CWS right now?? O THATS RIGHT TEXAS IS NOT cal state fullerton!!!

  • Who lost the CWS, OH THATS RIGHT TEXAS.

  • at least we made 2 tha championship

    Dumbass!!!

  • Fucking sick! I hope he does good in the majors. It will be nice to see another 300 game winner besides Andy Pettite (who will definitely be the last). *Crosses Fingers*

  • Andy pettitte isnt gona win 300 games

  • im sorry but for him to go to the nationals is sad to watch just like blake griffin going to the clippers, the nationals are absolutely horrible they should retire the team name and get it out of baseball and put this kid on a team where hell win and the team will have a decent record

  • Yeah because when you're drafted by a team you're stuck there forever. The Nationals have a bright future. Their best players are young. All they need is a couple decent starters and a new bullpen. Detwiler and Zimmermann (pitcher) look good.

  • hes toooooooo good 103 is insane wish he was on my team

  • Sorry, but the Nationals (YAY!!!!) get him next week in the MLB draft.

So drool all you want, suckers!!! He's OURS!!!!!

  • ya u need a lot more than him though, get some people in those seats so that he can have someone to throw in front of, that would be a shame if he pitched in front of 2,000 fans

  • @DCSportsNut too bad after his contract is up he walks right out of there

  • @DCSportsNut that doesnt make u guys anybetter ha

  • @guitarherofreak9 yes it does, it mean they win 1 out of every 5 games at the least

  • all parents did walk to school. my grandpa said he walked 10 miles uphill to get there and 10 miles uphill to get home.

  • If he walks 10 miles up the hill.... and reaches the school.... wouldn't he have to walk at least make it down that 10 miles hill to get to his home?

  • Amazing that he is averaging almost 17 strike outs a game this season.

As a Mariner fan, I really hope the Nationals get scared of the money required to sign him. Seattle won't be.

  • Well, that IS the obstacle standing in the way. Still, I don't care if it's $50 mil or $500 mil...have him here in Washington!!!

  • the nationals are going to overpay for him big time

  • Was that bat glued to the batter??

  • whats the big deal... holy crap the batter didnt swing one time

  • Just shows how awesome California is .....we produce the best athletes

  • Well, it's easy when you can play baseball there year-round

  • Your an idiot, it's never easy to throw 103 mph or a no hitter in D 1 baseball.

    Your so stupid.

  • Did you read what I was responding to? I didn't say what THIS pitcher did was easy. I was saying the reason that so many good players come out of California is because you can play the sport all year because of the weather.

  • I lived in Indiana, and I played baseball all-year in high school and baseball. Just like many other athletes do. That's no reason why California (supposedly) produces better athletes.

  • I could only hope that with discipline and teachings through the minors that everything works out perfectly and he becomes the first pitcher to ever throw a no hitter for the Mets, cause they need one already...lol.

  • Very impressive and love the use of the word dawg. The only thing that would have made the final out even better would have been to see the batter actually swing at a pitch, cause I doubt he would have hit it anyway.

  • He will be Mariner.

  • no are u stupid he will be a national they have the first pick

  • kids got a cannon no question. But until i see him buttfuck the minors and blaze through the majors like prior, he's just another prospect. Just ask Luke Hochevar

  • I was going to disagree with you but thats a very good point.

  • Is this the kid from Florida?

  • San Diego State, dude... remember it.

  • The way he slammed his glove into the ground after the final strike was a little scary. This is a moment of excitement and happiness and he looked like he was incredibly pissed off. That makes me think he might not be the most emotionally level

  • He was pumped! That's like when LeBron James dunks on Dwight Howard, you barely see Dwight dunked on and LeBron looks like an angry gorilla afterwards.

  • even chris paul dunked on dwight howard.

  • your an idiot

  • if he throws 103 with a little control he will be one of the best ever

  • damn..

  • No one can predict how he will do in the next level. He could be a bust or turn into the next Nolan Ryan for all we know. The dude has heart and loves to compete. That's really all you can ask for at this point in his career. I wish Strasburg the best and hope he stays focused when he gets his millions. I'm just glad that I was able to witness his awesome pitching performance Friday night. It was the first time I've ever witnessed a no hitter! Yeah!

  • Yea it would be nice to see him perform well at the next level. I am more of a basketball and football kind of guy but it would be nice to see a good solid baseball player not juice. Anything that can shift baseball into a positive direction is much needed.

  • Plus you never know what could happen. Lets all remember Fidrych after is rookie season. Pssible future Injuries aside he a is great prospect

  • @flyvtec04 i can now, hes doing awesome his first major league game i think he struck out 7 batters..

  • @T3hn00bi3st he struck out 14 including the last 7 batters

  • @flyvtec04 hahahahaha nolan ryan will never be matched as far as strikeouts even clemens with his roids couldnt get that far

  • @flyvtec04 i dont think he could be the next nolan ryan. i mean how many other pitchers have pitched for 20+ years as a starter? prob only randy johson, and roger clemens. and those ppl r phenoms of their generation. nolan did it 27 years. no doubt wen espn was covering his college career, i knew he was gonna b beastiy, jsut cuz of his edurance and velocity

  • he is going to be a yankee i heard

  • nationals, actually.

  • he wont last in the majors...

  • i think he can do well in the majors but he needs some time in the minors. he needs to stay humble, he has great talent but a bit of an anger problem and can't praise his talent already. he also shouldn't be throwing over 100 every pitch he won't be able to pitch for very long. he needs to maintain his fastball around 95-97 and have it come at 100+ for a strikeout, or whenever he really needs it.

  • Strasburg gets rattled so easily...he can't handle failing and I think that's what could turn him into a bust.

  • Yes, he obviously got very rattled this season. Maybe next season he can man up and have a perfect 0.0 ERA.

  • Umm...in High School whenever he gave up a hit, or in his sense "failed"...he would get rattled.

If he goes into the big leagues and he hits hit around a little bit, (a 3.0 ERA? LOL), he might not like that, and that's what scouts worry about.

Not to mention he has a Mark Prior style deliverary which also worries scouts.

Other than that he's perfect, and all you look for really...

  • i would like 2 see him come 2 texas and do that shit!!! he cant!!! cali sucks at baseball!! thats y hes thrown hitters and shit like that!! i promise u that he wont even get close 2 throwning a no hitter here in texas cause well blast the living shit out of the ball

  • too bad who they r facing isnt from calif...tex sucks at everything..including life...sick evangelist.

  • pitches so good that the infielders look like they dont expect no hist anytime soon. lol
