the pop filter is to control plosive consonants not load sounds, things like P's and B's, any word were a lot of air come from your mouth.... and that shock absorber is a "Shock Mount"... I really don't think you know anything about recording that thing you plug into your mic volume is an XLR cable and you plug the male end into the mic pre amp.... you need to read some shit and learn what you're doing...

Actually, that is a audio interface. A sound card connects to you're motherboard in a PCI slot. That is either a USB or FIREWIRE output, pretty sure USB. That cable is a XLR cable, which is needed for more professional mics that requires phantom power. Some PCI sound cards have XLR output but for the best overall sound get a audio interface.
