  • I cried.

  • Best Picture at 2:06

  • @BrianMarrino236 It took a lot for me to find something that said, "Santa is sad," since he is in this part of the poem.

  • I first heard this song in Christmas in 2006. I even cried alot while hearing this poem

  • @BrianMarrino236 I still do to this day.

  • I hope Santa made it to the other houses in time before this one. I sure hope he has enough time for other houses he might have missed.

  • A beautiful poem and well done by by Father Ted. Only someone who has been there could have done this. Yes, it does bring tears to my eyes.

  • This beautiful video is heart-wrenching and if you choose to watch it, you may need a tissue or get a huge lump in your throat...like I did. I'm sending this out to my FB friends and family. Everyone have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

  • who ever disliked this video can go hang themsleves...this was a beutiful poem...it almost made me want to cry

  • Oorah...I havnt cried about anything since I was a little kid. This song brought a tear to my eye and makes me proud of all those men and women who are and already hav, given the ultimate sacrifice so the test of us can hav a Christmas that other countries can't. I am proud to hav been privileged to hav so many near me. Now it is my turn to follow their footsteps and answer the call.

  • this applies to every soldier no matter which nation he his from he walks the ramparts for us all god bless them all they do it for us the people not the concept of a nation for his family now you may ask why i do say these i walked that rampart with these men family men and now im a family man myself i do understand once a soldier always part of you will walk with the troops serving at Christmas and any other time bless all who are away no matter what uniform you wear nor country you serve

  • I live in a home that is missing it's solider. My son is once again fighting in another war zone and will miss Christmas for the 4th year in a row. I'm just happy to know he's alive and doing what HE wants to do. I'm very proud of my Marine. God bless all our troops.....

  • May god protect the Danish, Dutch, english and american forces fighting in afghanistan..

and may the lord see mercy in the cowards of the leaderships of italy, spain, germany and france..

We will not forever carry your burden.... can i say more?? former fierce fighters.. now??? cowards...

  • Oh my god.. ;A; So sad, but so meaningful. I've got a friend who's fighting in Iraq and won't be home for Christmas. ;A; ! Thank you for posting this.

  • It did and still does the same to me because I can say been there.... done that for the most part. I wish you the best of luck and thank you for deciding to protect and serve the greatest nation the world has ever known.

  • This video is the one thing that made me cry in along time. It is sad to hear, because it is true. To think i used to ignore facts liek this, it makes me feel guilty ina way. I also feel a sense of extreme pride, as I am going to be like this soldier here. That life is all i demand, I dont wish for fame, fancy clothes, popularity, just the chance to fight for my citizens to enjoy aday once again, just as I was allowed to...that pride brings tears to my eyes, every time I hear this...

  • R.I.P. grandpa Harry! =C

  • merry christmas troops!

  • I love this song so much and I wish they had it on itunes, because I would love to have it on my ipod. does anyone know another way that I could get it on my ipod?

  • This is totaly Awesome, Merry Christmas to all the men, woman, boys, and girls serving our country!! God bless all of you.

  • this song never fails in making me shed a tear

  • Lillibbi, thank you for your thoughts. I will certainly pass them on. Have a wonderful holiday.

  • I heard this for the first time on Thanksgiving Day, but didn't hear the name of it. I cried once i realized it was about a soldier. My nephew is serving in the US Navy and is on his first deployment right now. This is the first holiday season that our family was not all together for Thanksgiving, and now for Christmas. I am so proud of what he is doing and for all those who have made the sacrifice for us. God, please take care of them all and bring them home as soon as possible.

  • I've done 19 years so far in the Navy. I know what your nephew is going through right now. It's very hard to be away from home right now. My first 6 years were spent in Japan. Just keep the lanes of communcations as open as you can. Thank you for his service to the greatest Navy in the world.

  • Pogiest, thank you for the encouraging words. I know it's hard for him to write as often as I'd like to hear, but we're trying. Have a great holiday season.

  • Thank you, again and you have a great Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

  • i think everyone should be just as proud as you. our soldiers dont gret enough recognition. i mean, what if they were gone? what if they all decided to quit? we need to thank God for them every day. tell your nephew we all thank him and love what he is doing!

  • Man! This song brings a tear to my eye. I may not support the war or the greedy morons that lied to us and got us stuck there in the first place. But dammit I support our troops. They can't pick and choose. They do the job that they're asked to do. I may not support the war. But I support our warriors.

  • see. look this makes me thankful for the soldiers fighting to protect america, our rights and our freedom. they choose to do this because they LOVE our country. and makes me mad to know that barrack obama is going to take this pride away from our soldiers.

    SUPPORT OUR TROOPS

  • This song/poem makes me thankful for everything I have. I'm a pinpal to a soldier, I don't know if he gets my letters, I so hope he does. If nothing else I hope he and all other soldiers know I appreciate what they do and they're in my daily prayers. Thank you

  • Thank YOU...

  • I love this poem so much!! I have it printed out with an eagle and the twin towers in the background. .And every year no matter where i am i print this out and hand to everyone i know. ITs such a touching poem that makes you cry...and you have put it togeth nicley
