  • Super nice!

  • Man you banked the hell outta those curves!

  • Where was it that you got the LNG fuel tender from cause i tried to find it on the website of train world online?

  • The LNG tender was a part of a set of two brass C41-8W, sold by OMI.I bought it about ten years ago and I it`s sold out. Maybe you can find one at Ebay or an brass dealer.

  • Good Job! Very Nice!

  • UP always had the most interesting diesels especially their experimental ones!!! If i ever have the money I would love to get a hold of a set of those locomotives!!!

  • what is that tank car looking thing?

  • LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) fuel tender.

  • also who makes the union pacific sd90/43mac and the ac6000cw

  • who makes the 2 union pacific dash 8-40cw at the start. i so want to get one, actually make it like 5

  • @railworksdabest

The C41-8W are OMI brass models. UP 9554 and 9555 were modified by GE during mid 1994 to burn natural gas, the two units never formally entered service. The natural gas program (actually called LNG, for Liquefied Natural Gas) was cancelled due to increased costs for LNG, and technical difficulties for the locomotives themselves; both GE units were placed in operation using diesel fuel.

The SD9043MAC and the C60AC are OMI Brass too.

  • @cflRailfan

Thank you. No, it`s not Pelle Søeborg`s layout. I`ts my own and I`m miles away from Pelle`s skills.

  • is that a custom tanker in the middle of the locomotives

  • @TheAllgood07

UP had four tank cars converted to serve as LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) fuel tenders. The cars were numbered UPT 1 to UPT 4. These 30,000-gallon-capacity tender cars made by Process Engineering. The cars were 71 feet long and nearly 11 feet wide. The model is OMI brass.
