  • i think she's still 18 yrs

  • so... how old is Pai?

  • she's 32 year-old, and still looks young.

  • @DDPWcawLeague i read somewhere that she is actually 21 or 22 years old, thats why she still looks young.

  • @fran9201

how is she 21 oe 22?

  • @suavelyphe well the characters age where never explained since VF2, but i read somewhere ( i don't remember where)

that said she was between 21 and 22 years old. sorry my english is bad.

  • @fran9201 I guess I've read about her age information at the same place as you, but there must be a mistake. Pai and Eileen, for example, have an age difference of 15 years (Pai was born in 1975, Eileen in 1990, according to another sources). If Pai were only 21 or 22, Eileen would be only a 6 or 7-year-old child.

  • @anelcoel Do you remember the source where they said that Eileen was born in 1990? Because I sure don't remember official sources (like Sega) stating something like that.

  • @gr8gmr Check VF Wiki. There are another few sites stating it. There's nothing in the VF5 manual. I think it makes sense, since all of the female fighters (except Eileen) have the looks of "adult women". I know Pai looks younger in VF5, she had more of that mature woman aura in VF4.

  • @anelcoel I've seen it on the VF wiki but unfortunately, it wasn't cited. I think Pai may be 22. I think in the first VF game, she was 18 and there's been four more canon games after that and assuming that they take place a year after the last one, then she would be 22 by VF5. Of course the exact year of the games' events weren't stated but Lion is still a high school student so I think it's likely.

  • @gr8gmr I think you checked the VF Wikipedia instead of the VF Wiki. The birthdates are cited on this site. It says Eileen was born on May 16, 1990. Google "Virtua Fighter Wiki" and you'll find it. :) Pai was 18 indeed in the first VF.

A friend told me Sega must've omitted birthdates from the VF5 manual to make the characters timeless.

  • @anelcoel I just told you I checked the VF wiki. Her birthday was not cited like I said. They don't mention their birthdays on the Wikipedia.

  • @gr8gmr Wikipedia and VF Wiki are not the same site. Read the beginning of my previous comment. Just google the exact term "Virtua Fighter Wiki" and it will appear first on the list.

  • @anelcoel Why do you keep bringing up the Wikipedia? You're the only one still doing that. I never claimed to be using the Wikipedia.

  • @gr8gmr wikia.com

  • @gr8gmr Wikia.com is another site from the same founder of Wikipedia. Many games have special pages on Wikia, including VF. That's the url: virtuafighter.wikia.com

  • @anelcoel I told you twice already that I checked the VF wiki. Did you read what I said?

  • @gr8gmr Yeah, I did. But to me it's strange I see the birthdays mentioned there, while you don't. . Then I thought: "We are not seeing the same thing". Only that. The ones missing are Brad's, Goh's, Vanessa's and Lei Fei's (and Dural's as usual).

  • @anelcoel I was saying the birthdays weren't listed on the Wikipedia but I know they are on the VF wiki.

  • @Badger9001 Shun..... Goh..... Kage is nothing like Guy, your arguement is weak as hell

  • 0:03 Diao Chan's mace?

    0:07 Ling Xiao Yu?

  • i love it when she says EEKOYO !

  • Pai in Chinese means white, while in Japanese sounds the same as girl's breast orz

  • @jichifly Nope, the word that you mean is Oppai.

  • So.....there's 4 finishes, but 3 beginings

  • Samn these Puerto Rican chicks are hot!!!

  • Kung Fuu in Japanese is Ku Hu?

  • @suavelyphe It's just that in Japanese there's no "F", but "HU" works for both(hu and F), instead...

  • @andymangaka there is "f" in japanese fuu fujiyama fuko fujiko futari fushgi. but ku hu is easier and ku fu
  • @suavelyphe that's the thing, no matter how much they romanize stuff with "f", very few will read that way(indeed it's changing), because it's only for romaji

still you hear the majority of Hushigi

    as it is with "v"(bu)

surprizingly, there is some young singers who rather sing "L"s instead of "R"s, even in japanese words...

  • hah who need kung fu to fight her!

  • Eh... where are the subtitles?

  • Turns on captions.

  • I bet Namco would be steamed that Sega riped off Xiaoyu's atire. Then again, Tekkens reputation is built on ripping off Virtua Fighter, so that makes it fair.

  • Comment removed

  • In Virtua Fighter 5, Pai Chan is voiced by Yumi Toma, the same seiyu who apparently also voiced Ling Xiaoyu (onwards from Tekken 3).

  • WOW, I had no idea she is Kung Fu movie star!

  • No.

  • when pai fights in vf4 she sound like a 10 year old though

  • wow all these years and i never knew she said ur "kung fu is not enough".

  • Love Pai Chan, she's my favorite

  • when her hair is in those ordinary pig tails she looks like xiaoyu =3

  • so very true ^-^

  • where is the subtitles

  • Ooooh she was a tough one when I first fought her

  • did you know that in virtua fighter, pai chan use the art of Mi Zong Yi from china? Mi Zong Yi is a reality martial arts based on mobility and distracting her opponents with a false or weak attack

  • wouldn't be gr8t if pai could fight ling xioayu 4rm tekken kick ass

    sarah 4 nna

    akira 4 jin

    kage 4 raven

  • Pai is a excellent fighter for use in the Virtua Fighter Series!

Her fighting style is fast and, too, beautiful...

  • Lol her last quote brings me back memorys since the first vf, i always used her

  • Pai é a minha favorita em Virtua Fighter, sempre joguei com ela desde o VF original até o VF4EVO...Espero jogar com ela no VF5 logo!

  • Pai Chan rocks! She is Chinese by the way!

  • @jkpf92 From Hong Kong.

  • Is she speaking Japanese? She's Chinese.

  • Other Chinese characters speak Japanese too.

  • @popfreak12 when i first heard it, i was like the F....sadly tho shes not the only chinese speaking japanese

  • @popfreak12

Yeah, it'd be cool if she, Lau and Lei-Fei spoke Chinese. I'm still waiting for a Latino actor to replace the current, embarrassing voice of El Blaze.

  • @popfreak12 It's like Blaze speaking English while he should be speaking Spanish, but that is what happens, I guess.

  • Hai proprio ragione!!!

  • Shut your lying ass up with your made-up word. you just made your own translations.

  • Pai is the BEST!

  • how many freggin outfits do they have now?

  • seriously! i mean its a good thing but i think they have at least 4 with customizable options.

  • i liek the last and beginning

  • Pai is my favorite character of Virtua Fighter!!!

  • 0:30 she looks like Ling Xiaoyu from tekken a little from there.

  • *Makes the costume look incredibly good looking.

  • No idea why, but that thing on her back in the first quote is incredibly good looking.

  • i still think she'd be speaking cantonese...

  • the thing is that the japanese words they way they say it is faster then what we say the say pharases faster then how americans speak

  • Shukyouno seika, HHAAAAA!!!!! miseruwayo.

  • if i only knew what she was saying...

  • In this game she has much a higher pitch from the other games

  • Black dress,, cool!

  • She looks a lot hotter this time around.

  • This voice is so much better then the one in VF4... She sounded like an old lady back then, and a scary one to boot. That sound she made in one of her intros... Put Darth Vader to shame :(.

I really like the overhaul she's got.

  • Please, in this game, she sounds like a 10 year old. VF4 she actually sounded like an adult. And that VF4 intro is badass.

    /endrant.

  • Agreed

Also, I never understood why they used a Japanese voice actress? They couldn't have pushed for someone who spoke Chinese? I'm honestly curious. Not bashing...

  • You don't know what I've been through !

  • If you're referring to her signature quote "Anata niwa kunfuu ga tarinai wa", then you're wrong; That's not even close to what she's saying. I think it's more along the lines of: "Not enough Kung Fu for you?"

At least, that's what I think it is. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

  • You don't know what I've been through !

  • I prefer Pai's VF4 voice actress.

  • It's the same actress from VF3 and VF4, but with a highter pitch.

  • Yes, I just found out that a few weeks back. I still prefer her VF3 and VF4 voice because it sounded a lot sexier in my opinion.

  • EXACTLY

they watered down/altered all the charcters in appreance and esp. speech. wtf did they do to pai and vanessa? vf4 models of them were wayyy better.

  • cool
