  • That was very touching ;.;

  • religion is all about only Jesus christ. That is purpose because he is worthy to rule all.

  • is glen really a mormon??i didnt know this??can someone answer me??

  • I still cry when I think about President Hinckley and how much I miss hearing his voice and seeing his sweet face. I'm so happy he's not with his wonderful, wonderful wife! And I'm also happy that we have President Monson, I love him so much!

  • Glenn Beck joined the LDS Church because Mormons are the only ones stupid enough to listen to his uneducated bs. Listen to his testimony at Youtube its hilarious he is brainwashed like the rest "I was baptized then I got a call (i.e. a talk show). HAHAHAHA SO THE CHURCH IS TRUE THEN BECKY! YOUR AN IDIOT!

  • @Balla1965 K none of what u said was a least bit funny, hope ur occupation isnt a comedian, if so hope u enjoy bein on welfare cause ur act is lame

  • @Balla1965 the only thing stupid is your ignorant comment about glen beck and the lds church, until you have the facts about the mormons go crawl back your cave you dirtbag!

  • @Balla1965 You're* an idiot. Not your. Before you decide to ridicule others for their "stupidity", take a look at your own. Narrow minded loser.

  • great he oppose a immigration reform, and he favor torture...how come a mormon do this

  • Like every other church individuals are involved. Being a "mormon" does not mean you necessarily live a certain way because plenty of mormons don't live according to the standards of the church, but hopefully those who are active are striving to become better people. Thats what religion is about, its about having a common goal.

  • @altermiteinerkapuze FINALLY SOME1 FREAKIN GETS IT!!

  • I always thought religion was about causing war with other religions to become the only religion.

  • does becoming a mormon cause uncontrollable crying fits, designed to increase ratings? is that mentioned in the book of mormon?

i get it that he needs mormonism to not be a drunk, but this is ridiculous.

  • cuddly kitten ?

  • you missed the point completely...douche.

  • @karlsmith00 Who's liberal payroll are you on?

  • @karlsmith00 What you have never lost someone that you cared about and not felt sad?

  • Gordon B Hinckley was one of the best men that ever lived.

  • Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

  • John 10:37 (Jesus speaking) "If I do not do the good works of my Father, do not believe Me; but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe my works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I the Father."

  • If anyone can help me find out who to contact to get an official statement from the Mormon Church as to whether or not they stand with or against Glenn Beck's political views.

Google for glenn beck report, all one word, and contact William W. Wexler.

    Thank you.

  • Why would the LDS Church release a statement about the political beliefs of one of 14 million members?

The LDS Church has made it clear that they are politically neutral. There are Democrats, Republicans, Independents in the Church, members across the whole political spectrum.

  • And that's just in the US. I can't imagine just how many other political parties members are a part of in other countries.

  • @WWWexler go to your local mormon church and ask to talk to the bishop, ask him all the questions you like

  • So Beck's a mormon, I missed that completely.

I just thought people were misspelling moron.

  • HAHAHA!

  • no one is saved by good works but by faith in Jesus Christ and His message of the Coming Kingdom of God!!!

  • Faith is not so much something we believe; faith is something we live.

Joseph B. Wirthlin - Oct. Gen. Conf. 2002

Righteous works are faith in action.

What greater example of faith than devotion to the teaching of Jesus Christ, following his footsteps, and living his teachings.

  • it caught me by surprised when Prophet Hinckely passed away, I was serving in Kuwait / Iraq, it made all ready sad moment even worse, I was strengthen by faith knowing he would be all other Prophets and continue to inspire us all in his fine example of courage and faith

  • I'm not sure what galaxy you live in imamhosseinismyblood, but people on TV do it all the time. It is one of the best ways to persuade someone about your point of view. Even presidential canidates use emotions in their speeches. So dont make it seem like it's bad, because it isn't.

  • "There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which can not fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance-that principle is contempt prior to investigation." --HERBERT SPENCER

  • Something that I have noticed over and over about Glenn Beck, is that he uses his emotions ALOT in order to manipulate the hearts and minds of people.

  • so you want everytone on television to speak with absolutley no emotion so they don't influence you by them? You Are Really Messed Up.

  • I am a conservative non-believer. Mormons in their church services will start crying at the drop of a hat.

  • How many church services have you been to?

  • I have been to several LDS services, particularly in the late 80's and early 90's. I have noticed the fast and testimony meetings can be quite an emotional experience. I have also been to the RLDS(community of christ) on several occasions. I was never a member of any mormon faction or for that matter any particular faith tradition. I am secular humanist.

  • There are some members who get particularly emotional when they talk about their relationship with Jesus Christ and all that He has done for them. Of course there are many who don't express themselves that way as well.

For others interested in attending a service, you can find the nearest one to you at maps*lds*org

  • glen is not a Mormon he's a moron

  • Most people are misinformed about what the LDS church teaches/believes. I recently converted to the LDS faith, but, I too was misinformed about the "Mormons" and what they believe. Now, that I have taken the time to listen, learn, and most importantly, to decide for myself, I believe too. Mormons are Christians, in that we worship Christ, not man. Live and let live. : ) Alot can be said for actual learning prior to judgement.

  • Glenn Beck will do any thing for viewers

  • You would think one would strive to be like Christ and His teachings, not a fallible man. That is the biggest difference between LDS and Christians, one worships fallible man, the other a perfect Spiritual God. Think about it.

  • We do not "worship" fallible man, we worship God.

However, I think you're trying to twist Glenn Beck's words far too much. Have you never had a role model, other than Jesus? Have you never wanted to be like somebody, say your father or mother?

President Hinckley was an excellent role model. If I could be more like him, I would be closer to being like my Savior Jesus Christ.

  • glen beck is stupid

  • I agree.

  • Good grief, Glenn Beck used to not be like a gigantic prick that he has become on Fox.

  • I'm a former mormon or lds. I must say that hinkley appeared to be a genuinely kind hearted man.

  • President Hinckley was the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS or Mormon Church) since 1995.

  • There is no doubt that Gordon Hinkley was a good man...I've watch him for years on BYU television, and while i disagree with him on major points of theology and soteriology and the nature of God, he lived his life in harmony with what he believed.

  • Comment removed

  • Just curious. Why does the test only apply to Mormons? Shouldn't it also apply to those from other religions and also atheists?

    What would your response be?

  • My response is they are the bigger hypocrits.

  • Sorry Joker, haven't been able to approve your other comments because of the profanity (you can read about it on my profile). Feel free to post again without the profanity!

  • how about we focus on the good?

    try that.....

  • What a poor representative of the LDS church. Major d-bag.

  • None of us are perfect, including Glenn. However, we each share our unique experiences with the gospel of Jesus Christ and each of our experiences will resonate with different people.

  • The Mormons are Not Christians! The old guy probably is not in a good place.

  • we are christians of course beacause we believe in Jesus Christ... go find a dictionary and read the meaning of the word christian...

i think that you are not a christian because christians don't hurt others, they don't destroy other's faith. they show a good example and always try to promote peace...

    take it easy

ps: i am a LDS (mormon) i was catholic before and i live in Tahiti-French Polynesia... you should visit a lds chapel to see that we're real christians..

  • What about all the other Christians who claim you're not? What is their problem?

  • Mormons are More Christian!

  • That statement is not Christian! Just to let you know.

  • @AaronShaunBrennan are not christians? good thing its not up to you to define that, good job on the empty claim tho.....,oh and we dont need your approval

  • How do these freaks get a platform. Is everyone crazy?

  • aww he's a mess..

  • Great change? Maybe, but you're still a prick.

  • Search no further, gaggle of Googlers. Yes, Beck is a member of the LDS Church.

"I presently serve as a ward missionary, elder's quorum teacher and serve with my wife in the stake's addiction-recovery program," Beck told the Deseret News on Thursday when asked about his church membership.

  • Talk-show Glenn Beck shares a personal moment, reflecting on the example of LDS Church (Mormon Church) President Gordon B. Hinckley, after he passed away on January 27, 2008.

  • How comforting that a good Mormon made a career out of slamming other people!

  • "a good Mormon made a career out of slamming other people! "

you must NOT have watched the movie. Glenn speaks VERY highly of President Gordon B. Hinckley.

  • I'm talking about Glenn, not the Poobah!

  • does he have a personality disorder. Maybe a borderline personlaity disorder.

  • Because he shares something personal while on the air?

Wow, doesn't take much to elicit slander out of you!

  • The man's life was once a complete trainwreck and he expressed, on national tv of all places, his admiration for the passing of a humble servant of the Lord. I wish there were more moments like this on the aire.

  • Its hard to imagine a scenario in which it would not be worthwhile to consider and learn from the experience of others. Many professions require internships, during which aspiring professionals shadow seasoned veterans to learn from their years of experience and accumulated wisdom. Rookies in professional sports are often expected to sit on the bench and learn by watching experienced players.

  • Judge Not, That Ye Be Not Judged Matthew 7:1

You know maybe you Mormon bashers could open your eyes for once and maybe read the books that our church is based off of: The Bible, and The Book of Mormon. And then maybe you bigots may just actually know what our church is about. For it is no use to argue with those who have no clue about what they're talking about.

  • Glenn Beck is a mormon? Damn thats too bad. Hopefully he finds the real Jesus.

  • Please Read Matthew 6:16-18 6:24 and

    Luke 6:43-45

"Ye shall know them by their fruits."

"No man can serve to masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon" Matt 6:24

"mammon" means idolatry, worldliness, selfish treasures.

  • Do you really understand the nature of his teachings in duality and perception? The master is the father the son is the child both are you...What he is saying is that the ego will project the illusion of an image to measure... What Jesus was teaching was the same as the Adam Eve Cain Abel metaphors in seeing authority external. Seeing authority external creates the need to measure an image..This relates to the mystery of God and the invisible God...Peace Neo

  • @Nephilim145 oh and who is the real Jesus to you? this should be quite a laugh

  • Joseph Smith was a "teller of tall tales

  • And if you rely on South Park or Youtube for all of your information, you might be in trouble!

  • you fool many American Historian even said Joseph Smith was know to tell tall tales and he was a con man if u believe that Joseph Smith did more for humans then Jesus there is somthing wrong with you and your cult

  • Please provide the sources. Give me the name of any credible American historian who uses the same language as South Park and Youtube cartoons by saying that Joseph Smith was "known to tell tall tales". Can you do that?

We do not believe that Joseph Smith did more than Jesus. That is absolutely false in every single way. Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of mankind. Joseph Smith is one of His servants and prophets, just like Noah, Moses, etc.

  • Joseph Smith was not a Prophet because Jesus himself said that there will be one last prophet of god which is Muhammad not Joseph Smith

  • Interesting how you didn't answer the question.

  • what question

  • A source for your previous statements that "many American Historians...." Please note my comment above.

  • Love you Glenn Beck, but Truth is not a feel good concept. However, God is sovereign, so He will call and regenerate whom He will. Check to see if warm feelings is a must have for salvation. Ephesians 2: 8,9

  • Gordon B Hinckley has too touched my soul and I know what Glenn is talking about. It is funny how rare are the people who walk just by you or just say something, not even much and makes you feel so special and makes you want to be a nicer person. That is Gordon!

  • Why is it when Glenn Beck get all emotional.... it comes off as really bad acting?

  • Trust me he is not acting.

When a mormon prophet dies is a big deal to its members!

  • I don't doubt that other members feel a sense of loss for a President of the LDS Church. However, Glenn Beck seems to always feels fake whenever he is sadden by anything.

  • Yeah, kind of like when his mother committed suicide in the same house he was residing in. He must have faked his pain regarding that too! (note sarcasm)

It's so sad that you are so insensitive. Hundreds of thousands mourned President Hinckley's death. He was a dear friend to all. Would not tears fall from your eyes when a close friend was lost?

  • I am not being insensitive to the idea that people were sadden by the death of President Hinkley. I have to keep reiterating the same point over and over that you guys seem to miss. Whenever Glenn Beck gets emotional about something on T.V./Camera, it comes off as fake. That is the only point I am trying to make. I feel a lot of what he is doing "ON CAMERA" is an act and not how he really grieves about any kind of personal loss. That is my point.

  • A "religion" is simply a cult that has achieved political power.

  • can faith and obsessive doubt coexist?

  • Holy Cow! I did not know Glenn Beck is a Mormon.

  • Yeah! If you search for "Unlikely Mormon" here on Youtube, you can find his full story. It's definitely worth watching.

  • Glenn Beck, please speak the Name of "Jesus Christ" as Lord and Saviour - don't don't be ashamed, Jesus Christ is "The Way, the Truth and The Life".

I like Glenn Beck, but until he is born-again in Christ his goodness will be filthy rags no matter how loud he yell out for others to 'just be a good person'. If that was it then Jesus died for no cause!

    THINK ABOUT THAT GLENN!

  • Understand the Mormon Faith then make comments. We believe is Jesus Chirst is the Son of God, and the only way one can be saved. Jesus is the way... The only way....

  • Wow...i used to have mad respect for Glenn Beck, until these past 2 videos... It's so easy to see that Mormonism is focused on people's examples and never Jesus Christ. He made the comment "I had a warm feeling knowing that he was reunited with...his wife." His WIFE!? That doesn't matter! It's about being reunited with JESUS! The man who saved our lives! Think about it!

  • So from two videos you think you know what Mormonism, or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is focused on? Haha, wow.

I would encourage you to do a little more research than that. The entire focus is on Jesus Christ and how through His grace, we can become better people.

I personally think the concept of eternal families is beautiful!

  • No, not from 2 videos my friend... I was a mormon for a little over a year until I started doing research on the backround, history and morals of the church and what I found was not to my liking. I'm not here to bash anyone, I'm here to promote Christ. The idea of eternal families is a great concept, but should not be any of our concern for there is only one way into heaven and that is the focus on Jesus Christ and the fact that it is through his grace alone that we are saved.

  • So you believe that by hoping we can return to live with our families again that this distracts from Jesus Christ? Even when the entire doctrine is based on Jesus? It is only through Him that we can be saved.

  • The thing is, you think your religion is based on Christ, but you refer to him as a "spirit brother" and not God's son (apart of God) and you think you have to work hard to please God...and yes, thinking about establishing a family in heaven and becoming a god like you strive to do are not good principals. Jesus himself said that He must be the number 1 in your life...over your mother, father, brother sister. Think about it.

  • You well know if you were in the Church for a year that in our literature and our speech, we refer to Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Savior CONSTANTLY. There may be occasional reference to him as a spirit brother, as we are all children of God.

  • Elder M. Russell Ballard cautioned members against any focus at all on this. He said, "We occasionally hear some members refer to Jesus as our Elder Brother, which is a true concept based on our understanding of the premortal life with our Father in Heaven. But like many points of gospel doctrine, that simple truth doesn't go far enough in terms of describing the Savior's role in our present lives and His great position as a member of the Godhead...

  • (cont) "Now we can understand why some Latter-day Saints have tended to focus on Christ's Sonship as opposed to His Godhood. As members of earthly families, we can relate to Him as a child, as a Son, and as a Brother because we know how that feels. We can personalize that relationship because we ourselves are children, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters."

  • (cont) "For some it may be more difficult to relate to Him as a God. And so in an attempt to draw closer to Christ and to cultivate warm and personal feelings toward Him, some tend to humanize Him, sometimes at the expense of acknowledging His Divinity. So let us be very clear on this point: it is true that Jesus was our Elder Brother in the premortal life, but we believe that in this life it is crucial that we become "born again" as His sons and daughters in the gospel covenant."

  • Did you notice the fake tears...and then, seconds later, serious talk, Glenn is being used as a poster boy for this cult, or he is an active member. Does he realy think that Jesus was Satan's brother from another mother?

  • Brother the same mother... and yes.

  • It's called keeping your composure. You sound quite amateurish regarding that subject.

Wow, you're totally original with the whole "Jesus was Satan's brother" thing. Huckabee beat you to the punch.

Apparently you are Bible illiterate or else you would have been aware of Isaiah 14:12 where it speaks of Satan as being cast from heaven, once known as the SON of the Morning. He was once a son of God. ...now connect the dots and if you permit, a light will go off. It's logic.

  • Yes its true, its all about being reunited with Christ. But also being with our earthly families once again my friend. We focuse on eternal families, but the focus to be able to complete eternal families is Jesus Christ.

  • Take it easy, 'K? I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I like people of all faiths. As a member of an artillery unit, I watched two very able and highly watched military superiors learn more. If you read the Book of Mormon, and pray to God to know whether it's true, He will answer you. He did me.

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO! Im keeping it

  • Feel free to download and put up on your own channel!

  • Wow, I can't believe I am late for this. But this video warms my heart. Thank you for the kind words Glenn.

  • Thanks Glenn, I miss president Hinckley too. He was a good man and a goo prophet of God.

Thanks for standing up for what you believe.

Thanks for your good example !!!

  • i just want to say thank you for sharing your testimony. i see videos all the time talking about how bad mormons are. it bugs me so bad but yours is good and i love it!!! when i found out that president hinckly dies i cried but then i realized he was reuniting with his wife. how happy they must be. thank you again for sharing your testimony!!!

  • anyone who says mormonism is bad is fighting a losing battle. I don't need to defend my religion though, because it needs no defence. It is a beacon of hope and light to the world and only good comes of it

  • JESUS CHRIST.

  • Thanks for sharing Glen! I enjoyed your testimony and share the spirit of your message.

  • thank you... for sharing this video on utube....after reading so many anti-mormon comments and some i never heard of before... i needed this to remind me of my covenants when I was baptized and temple covenants.... and the commandments... LOVE THY NEIGHBOR... I missed Pres Hinckley too. He is one of the best. Pres Monson is a great man too.. I love to listen to his stories.

  • comment pending approval

  • always makes me weep.

  • He was very brave to do this on air. Good job sir.

  • Wow,he's such an emotional guy.

  • Thank you. This was so nice to listen to.

  • Thank you.

  • nice one.

  • That was inspiring. :-)

  • I am refering to people who clai m that a particular church teaches "the right Jesus" and that the Mormon Church teaches" the wrong Jesus" as was ones persons comment. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorow. It's dcotorines that are right or wrong...not the lord. for His character has never changed, nor His Gospel.Man has buthered it. And it has now been restored to the Earth. There never was a wrong Jesus, just wrong dctorine. Guess i forgot to spell it out!

  • It's so true. I believe in Christ. I know nothing if not that. Everything else is an appendage to the faith.

  • lds9999 thank you for another great video! i'm getting quite the collection. Even used some of them in FHE!! Keep 'em coming. You are doing a great missionary work! Thank-you!!!!

  • I wish we had more tv personalitys willing to be open and honest like Glen Beck. There are so many people in this world that despise anyone who is good and gentle. Why? Because it is a constant reminder of their own weakness and rather than change themselves they would like to slience people of integrity such as President Gordon B. Hinckley and Glen Beck. Yes, Glen Beck.....he may have had his problems, but anyone who can openly bare his soul in front of millions is a man of integrity.

  • common Glenn hold it together!!!!!

  • the lord softens our hearts so we can see and realise the humanity that lives in us all..the saviours words comfort us in these times of loss, his words "be of good cheer" for we know the great plan of eternal life.

  • it was a good clip. shows that you dont have to be a certain religion to appreciate their values and their character.

  • Ive always liked Glenn but man my respect for him shot through the roof when i saw this

  • Why?

  • Amen

  • Glen, thank you for your simple testimony.

  • Wow, this is the first video I've found on here that doesn't bash the LDS church O_o

and I thought my search was hopeless haha.

  • Don't worry, I've got lots of them! :)

  • an awesome tribute from him. makes everyone think to find something deeper.

  • Nice tribute from a real asshole. I wish he would act like this more often.

  • Nice tribute.

  • Rest in peace President hinckley. I'm so happy You are with Our Heavenly Father and your wife. yet deeply saddened by your passing. We will all remember the goodness and kindness that you have shown our brothers and sisters all over this earth, and we'll never forget That in the end we will all reunite in heaven.

  • I am sorry for the loss of the mormon president Gordon Hinckley. But many of you must realize that the reason many people post things on this page that are "rude" are actually only trying to show you the real truth. I am sorry to inform many of you but the mormon religion is not christian and it is no true. Gordon B. Hinckley did great things not only for this country but the world. But it is a shame that one does not get to heaven by good works but faith in Jesus Christ as his lord and savior.

  • No one will here will disagree that Jesus Christ is the only way that we can be cleansed of our sins and return to live with our Heavenly Father--this is of course what we believe.

However, we also know that our beloved prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley, did indeed have this faith in and knowledge about our Savior, Jesus Christ. He'll be just fine. :)

  • But have you ever questioned your religion. and also whether or not you are worshiping the right jesus, and also if it is for the right reasons? I have researched and studied mormonism for a little over a year now, and i have not found one rude or inconsiderate mormon, but there comes a breaking point on to whose side you are on. Good or Bad?

  • The right Jesus?! Wow! Here's what the right Jesus said, paraphrase: You have erred for you have not thought to look on the heart. Glad you can see all those mormon hearts. The right Jesus was a builder of faith not a destroyer of it.

  • The right Jesus????? When was there ever "the wrong Jesus"????

  • ladyhughes, you can't be that narrowminded. Stop trying to twist his words around. He's obviously talking about the right church, which teaches what we believe about the true nature of the Godhead...not Catholic or Protestant opinions.

  • Have you read the Book of Mormon?

  • is there even more than 1 jesus im pretty sertain there is only one and im also sure we are good and not bad

  • tommyboy - I invite you to read "Are Mormons Christian" by Stephen E Robinson. If you truly feel the same way after that read, I would be surprised. You might actually realize that the early Christian doctrine (during Christ's time) are much closer aligned to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (what you call mormon) then most "Christian" faiths today. You can blow off the invitation, but if you do blow it off, I ask you not to judge ignorantly - or as Christ stated, unrighteously.

  • You obviously have no insight or experience with the mormon church whatsoever or else you would know that they are in fact a christian religion. You're just repeating what someone else has told you without any real research or idea of your own.

  • can i just say that how can the mormon faith not be christians. in there name is says "the church of jesus christ of latter day saints". and how may i ask that you know the mormon faith is not true? have you recieved revelation yourself saying that it is not true? if you do not believe that it is true please go and read the book of mormon and find out for yourself whether or not it is true. pray about it sincerley and you will then know the answer.

  • Well said.

  • A very nice tribute. Encouraging to see things like this in the secular media. Thank you.

  • Glenn Beck Thank you your wonderful words about President Gordon B Hinckley

    God Bless You Forever.

  • I cried when I watch Glen Beck share his feelings.

  • Glenn Beck has such a genuine way about him. How kind of him to add this gift in commemorating our dear prophet.

    tDMg

    LdsNana-AskMormon

  • LOL! He is not at rest. He is working just as hard in heaven as he did down here, or more.

But for us normal people down here......his wisdom, love and kindness will be forever missed until we meat him again in the next life.

  • Iwatched this in my LDS seminary class and felt incredible to finally see someone on TV do this for President Hinckley. I was infuried when Today show or stuff like that didnt show anything, and to see this makes me much more relieved. I loved President Hinckley as well, and I miss him greatly. Thanks, Glenn.

  • Aloha Glenn, that is so sweet of you,

yeah we all miss him, he is a great example for all the peoples in this life

  • Glenn Beck is LDS...I never knew. Wow.

That was inspirational. I almost cried.

  • Very well-said, Glenn. It's good to see him become genuinely moved as he speaks of President Hinckley. And yes, it's comforting to know he's finally reunited with his wife!
