However, I'll admit that Lady Gaga has the better creative direction in videos but Beyonce will forever have the best vocals and performances in the music industry as long as she's there. The only reason Single Ladies was such a phenomenon was because anyone could recreate it. All you need is a leotard and put it in black and white. B' went a little "electro" in her previous album (Sasha Fierce) and it didn't suit her. The electro/dance sound suits more to Gaga. And I really didn't like the I Am... album. I'm not buying her interpretation of the songs. It doesn't transport me. She hasn't got SOUL yet in my opinion. The only time I liked her interpretation was with Halo.
But it's good to have a voice, it's another story to use it the right way, in the right songs. For me, she could have a Celine Dion vocal range, it doesn't mean anything if her songs, her lyrics, her interpretation are not good. I am a Beyonce stan. I love both artist (Beyonce and Lady Gaga) and they should never be compared. However, I'll admit that Lady Gaga has the better creative direction in videos but Beyonce will forever have the best vocals and performances in the music industry as long as she's there. I must say that I have always had a LOVE/HATE relationship with Beyonce.
I think she is a great artist.
However, I am really feeeeeling Lady Gaga.
I think Beyonce needs some competition in creativity.
Now I know these two artist are very different. I think it's a matter of taste.
We like what we like... and I like Lady Gaga. I am waiting for Beyonce to give me more. Beyonce definitely brought it when she played Etta James. However, I am still not satisfied!

When Makael tried to compare how many people would try to recreate the Bad Romance video vs all the people that spoofed Single ladies I had to chuckle. The only reason Single Ladies was such a phenomenon was because anyone could recreate it. All you need is a leotard and put it in black and white. Lady Gaga's videos are so much more complex and creative. Kevin is right. Lady Gaga's videos were more creative than anything Beyonce realeased this year. Single ladies was cute nothing more.

Beyonce should know that inspiration is when you take an idea and go in a new direction with it. You don't copy someone's choreography move for move and call it inspiration. B' went a little "electro" in her previous album (Sasha Fierce) and it didn't suit her. The electro/dance sound suits more to Gaga. And I really didn't like the I Am... album. I'm not buying her interpretation of the songs. It doesn't transport me. She hasn't got SOUL yet in my opinion. The only time I liked her interpretation was with Halo.

why are you guys always downplaying rihanna like she's not successful. next to beyonce, rihanna is one of the most successful females of this decade and that says a lot. so what she doesn't have the best voice. people said the same about britney back when she came out and look how big she is. i guess if rihanna hired a great choreographer they would be on the same level along with ciara and janet. not the "best" voices but they make good music and have millions of fans.
