It's pretty obvious who we should blame for Columbine. Eric and Dillion. They're the ones who chose to bring guns to school and shoot people. Neither the NRA or Marilyn Manson have anything to do with that (although, the NRA promotes responsible firearm use, I don't even get how ANYONE could blame the NRA when they promote the exact opposite thing from gun violence).

strange, at the school where i grew up (in Shetland), we had no uniform an the whole atmosphere was better than any school i've ever been to. We had much more freedom and were treated with respect.

And people talked about manson sounding really smart in this interview, and I figured it was just people being easily impressed. And then I saw it and as olisqercio points out, he just nails it. @starquant You're 100% correct. I'm 34 now, but remember the pain I had at losing my first love when I was 16. I felt like the world had ended, had such a poor relationship with my parents...and so communication was virtually non-existent. I had no-one to tell me that it (the feeling) would pass and one day become just a distant memory.
I was lucky that I didn't go more off the rails than I did, and if guns were legalised in my country, I'm sure it would be such a different place....

It's pretty obvious who we should blame for Columbine. Eric and Dillion. They're the ones who chose to bring guns to school and shoot people. Neither the NRA or Marilyn Manson have anything to do with that (although, the NRA promotes responsible firearm use, I don't even get how ANYONE could blame the NRA when they promote the exact opposite thing from gun violence).

They weren't innocent victims, they were the bad guys and they are the ones who are fully responsible for the tragedy. Manson had some good points, but Moore's argument that somehow the NRA is behind all of this is completely retarded, and personally, I think this is one of the most deceitful, misleading movie ever made because of that.

And people talked about manson sounding really smart in this interview, and I figured it was just people being easily impressed. And then I saw it and as olisqercio points out, he just nails it. No break, no pretension, these kids needed someone to listen to them and help them through.
