Suppose i do the installation and setup perfectly and everything goes right, what am i suppose to do if i want to go back to factory setting/default with windows xp, & will acer erecovery management get removed permanently? Please respond/answer!

@AlexGT25 Call acer and get the recovery setup disks or make them befor you install w7

as for easy recovery i killed the partition myself so it's gone babby gone lol.

@ikembotmo yes i've gotten this to work on an external HDD you may have to adapt a few options if you want to keep whats allredy on the HDD intackt but if you dont mind just dumping any data on the drive just follow the steps and itl boot into install no problems (note this isnt setting up to run w7 from the external HDD alltho you can do that with a little gidigerypokery) but you can install from it no problems.

@WatchmenDrManhattan aside from possibly some drivers W7 is well designed for a tablet/touch device including a small pc.

i dont know if W7basick has all of what you need you may need atleast home. check first.

Drivers you may need (or may not w7 is prety good about this stuff)

Touch device.

Video Drivers (just figure out what chipset you got get that form the chipset provider if the OEM dosnt have w7 itself

Extra / special buttons

Webcam

Chipset drivers for the motherboard.

CPU drivers.

hey i have an acer aspire one 532h-2789, it has windows 7 starter, i tried to upgrade it with a fresh install of windows 7 ultimate, the usb flash drive i used is a 8gb cruizer, it does boot the setup files, but after i choose my language it says CD/DVD device driver is missing. it gives me the option to locate the driver, but were ? can anyone help me with this problem?

After having done all windows 7 clean installed but it's not as smooth as my vista. Is it drivers chipset intel something or what? I am not really very good at all these things. My setup is an Asus laptop m51sn 3 gb ram core 2 duo t 8300 e.t.c.

Am I missing some crucial drivers?. Everythin working except I get some crackling noises playing Fl studio while my old vista is smooth. What can I do to make my new win 7 smooth. plsss.

I don't own a m51sn and i have no idea what kind of software Fl studio is.

try grabbing the audio drivers if it's an audio isue from the audio chip maker not the manufacture.

That would work just fine.

In fact i just helped a friend setup a small usb HDD to do this same thing using the same steps. it was around 200gb

(as a replacement for a cd not the actual running drive in the pc) it worked like a charm and restoring usb hdd was as simple as modding it in the first place.
