Tata Indica is one hundred percent indian car. Ratan Tata was frustrated with the government delay in according sanction for collaboration. He vowed to make a completely indian car. TATA INDICA is the result of this. The greatness of this car is that it offers Power Steering, Power Brakes and a Good A.C, all this at Rs. 4,00,000/-. No doubt, its body is a bit delicate. But it is a wonderful car. I bought one and have done 20,000 KMs in it and am enjoying. The spares are cheap as well.

India has very recently started making cars locally. Now to get into the higher, foreign market in Europe, jaguar was bought out in England....so baby steps still... need to evolve...will take time to reach the top...again you need metal to stay in the top....so .... lets see... but good news for now.

Tata exported it. Indica is a 100% Indian car. And so is TATA.
