  • can you please tell me the name of the song at 9:40?

  • Great vid great strategy and even better narrating

  • He (saiedz) carries the blood and legacy of Napoleon

  • Brilliant strategy! You would've made Napoleon himself proud as 75% of his victories were made against larger forces and he therefore almost always won due to tactical maneuvering. I love playing as the Russians. I'm really not sure why though.. I think it's cause of their awesome uniforms! (But really, I like their Life Guards and Unicorns). I hope to face you some day! My user name is master_tactician.

  • "WIn with ability, not by numbers." - Alexander Suvorov

    Excellent strategy!

  • The only thing wrong with this video is your ludicrous pronunciation of fusilier. Its pronounced fusilier, tsk.

  • Good play like allwais

No way to manouver if u dont holt strongh your center

  • I'm sure you have heard of Sun Tzu ? And his book?

  • would you like to tell me the name of the songs in this video? thanks

  • @demakre I think it's from the upcoming Batman movie.

  • @MrRunswithstick Seems to be a new song in Hans Zimmer style. Nice

  • @demakre Hans did the score for the first two movies. I hope he is on board for the new one. It really works well for NAPTW.

  • Very good, as always. How is school?

  • hey i have a few questions!

    - my troops ceep going red, why?

    - what kind of a graphics card do i need?

    - my pc only supports ddr2! is that a good thing?

  • very; imformative; nicely implmented these really do help esp on understanding basic fundamentals and manouverings; above all I've seen how vitial it is to play aggesively!

  • llol look at the battlefield smoke

  • super dramatic at 5:40

  • WOW LOT OF SMOKE

  • Great commentary.

  • French is the best faction

they have the best cav support.

2 chasseur a cheval with 2 guard lancers kill everything in their path

  • Everone should subcribe for the best tips!!!!

  • MAN YOUR TIPS R SO GOOD, I STARTED WINNING BECOZE OF THEM. :D

  • Decent video. It's pronounced "fyoo-zih-leer", by the way.

  • I have never seen a battle where art is allowed and someone didn't bring it. Seems a bit fishy.

  • whats the name of the music in your intro?

  • 3:52 - 4:02

  • good battle

  • how do you get all that smoke

my graphic is on it`s higest but there is a little bit. Why?

  • capitan kid should of charged his men into yours and used his men supority over yours and beat u in hand to hand rather then volleys

  • @Raidwarrior13

If Capitan were to do that he would be incircled by cavalry and be cut to ribbons due to rear charges.

  • noob battle.

  • and thats exactly what i am gonna do!

    EPIC!

  • Astonishing production quality of sound and excellent editing. Good tactics as well make for a great film/documentary !

  • I just bought this game, its the first Total War game I've ever bough so needless to say I was intimidated by the multiplayer, these vids are great learning tools and help me to understand the game better. Luckily I have a lot of micro skills from my days playing Company of Heroes, hehehe. Thanks a lot for the videos please keep posting em.

  • Nice and epic battle!! One question, Which one is worth it? Napoleon or Empire Total war?

  • @yyn1992

    Definately Napoleon

  • @yyn1992 Napoleon becuase it is a much more refined and detailed version of Empire

  • Great video, and excellent tactic advice.

  • DUDE! you seriously are an epic commentator i find these vids a perfect mix of theatrics and fact/tactical info... brilliant for people getting into napoleon and simply wanting to watch cool vids..welldone! :)

  • can i ply wif u some time dude im kinda new ive only plyed 13 hours of napoleon total war and i think im 6 or 5 stars i good with elite infantry but il like u to get me better if u could one strat i usually do is mass my army in buildings my elite army its very effective ivde one alot of battles like tht

  • ahahhahaahha this so great........and very dramatic by the way......... i was just playing it in hard mode in the coalition campaing..... and i just used your same tactics....really works even thought I was heavily outnumbered 10 to 1.

  • I love how the epic music is playing when you charged the back of those skirmishers around the 4th minute and all of a sudden you hear " Our men are running sir" hahaha. Ruined the Epic Moment.

  • @Elgalloskipr

    lmao yea annoying voice

I hope you enjoyed it ;)

  • @saiedz I did indeed enjoy it alot, as I commented on another one of your videos, you should try to play LunaticMonk from the HUNTSMAN clan, hes good. ^^

  • Excellent job and an excellent learning tool.

  • @JackDionne

    Thank you very much

  • CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE INTO SONG PLEASE

  • what map is it at 14 seconds????????????

  • Outstanding, simply outstanding sir!

  • wow that was epic love ur vids

  • great videos, love the production that goes into this. keep it up

  • love thes way you detaly say it all it way better the just see it

  • @the2machewys

This game is DEFINITELY worth 50 bucks (well only the imperial edition is $50, the regular is $40). Shogun 2 Total War is in a completely different time period, so it would be quite a different experience. I personally like Napoleon Total War more than any other Total War before (still waiting for Shogun 2 Total War).

In summary, yes, this game is worth $40-$50.

  • The faction I like are the French, because of the Old Guard, elite soldiers, veterans of the 2 decade wars, soldiers who fought along Napoleon until the very end.

  • You have a really dramatic voice

  • @rifal004

hehe quite a few people seem to agree

  • Great video, i usually watch princeofmacedon's videos, but yours are great! btw what were the songs in the beggining and in the end?

  • @the2machewys

i dont know what the first song is called but the music in the end is from the sound track of the movie 'King Arthur'.

  • @saiedz Thank you =) i also have another question. Is this game worth paying 50 bucks for? Or should i just wait for Shogan 2 total war. ( i've never played a total war game. )

  • @the2machewys Sorry, this might be a late answer but; If you have the extra money, you should try out RTW first. Yes I know it's completely different time periods etc, but you should try it, just to get the Total War series gameplay feeling, if its not something for you, you saved 30-40 bucks. :)

  • @devons1ck I already spent the money on the new Transformers game lol, but thanks =)

  • @saiedz 1st 1 is from the matrix i think o.o

  • i ve played capitan kidd too on the pyramides map we had a clanbattle he and another HG (both6stars) aggainst me and one of my clanmates :) check out my channel :) its the battle on the pyramides i made a vid out of it too :)

  • hahah lol you edit your battles like a dramatic movie.. cool!

  • @4000marco

    :)

  • are u the red on the mini map it seems ur enemy brought elite instead of normal because the red outnumber the blue alot

  • Favorite faction? I'd have to say prussia as it doesnt have the OP feeling of France and they still have the cavalry that Brits lack. The prussian cost effectiviness is also the best in the game i think. So I prefer the balance of Prussia.

  • i can never find anyone to play on online its shit

  • shit i ment Beethoven, Symphony 7, from the movie Knowing

  • Dude, WELL TOLD , GREAT TACTICS!! but why the fuck this music???

next time use mozart or beethoven because this and dont get me wrong like this song but it doenst fit in the napoleon age. now you given this song such a wannabe hollywood feeling.

use the mozart song in the movie Knowing ..

im really shocked excaly that u used this music... im a die hard fan of NTW

    but anyways!

good luck next time and i really appreciate the lesson!

  • great vid.

    one suggestion

fussiliers is pronounced fussilIers so you gottta stress the i next to the L not fussIliers, so not the i next to the ss

  • You are so epic dude. I love your vids. What kind of computer do you have though these graphics are sick

  • French, because of their military history in this period and awesome unit stats.

  • Well explained rationale for your tactics. Another enjoyable video to watch.

  • dude you do a great job at editing, really makes the viewer want to watch every single one of your vids

  • @CBsoup

haha thanks! i'm glad you think so... im almost done with my exams so i should have another video up very soon

  • The music draws the fine line between being epic and setting the tone, and being silly and dragging the video down with it. Good video otherwise

  • @talrashajj

i guess thats a compliment... thank you

  • nice video

  • @PrinceOfIllyria

    thank you!

  • Another master piece of strategy...Do you ever lose?

  • @TheLouieKing

hahaha obviously i lose... that guy from video number 2... i've actually lost to him a few times. i'm not a god at this game :P

u can know alot about tactics but nobody plays mistake free all the time. i've been outplayed before too. hopefully this summer i'll put up some videos of losses so people can benefit from those too.

  • amazing and full with inspiration as allways :)

  • @ChapterOlympian

    hehe thanks man

  • wow amazing. nice job

  • @coolbeaker2

    thanks buddy

  • smoke mod?

  • smoke mod?!

  • @gototim

no this isnt a smoke mod this is actually what the game looks like when u have particle effects on ultra!

  • Epic...I love this one!!

  • @Roadkil007

thank you... its hard to always find good opponents to play against online. the majority of players are pretty bad (like in my 7th video) especially when u play 2 vs 2 battles.

  • I <3 U

    &&

    Subscribed =]

  • @MrFloppymonster

    lol thank you?

  • finally a TW game with epic amounts of gun smoke, the amount seemed to go dwon after shogun

  • @YoJimBoHugabaJoe

yea you're right... the amount of smoke in Empire: Total War was pretty disappointing in comparison with Napoleon.

  • @saiedz it was disappointing compared to shogun even, maybe its my rose tinted glass's but i remember huge smoke clouds on that,to the point were you can hardly see your troops

  • @YoJimBoHugabaJoe

i never played shogun so i wouldnt be able to tell

  • wow if u were a general in the 17 and 18 hundreds, u would totally own

  • @Shamy55555

    looooool thanks

  • Hey i'm kinda of a noob at online multiplayer fights, but how did you manage to reposition your troops so fast? You did it instantly.

  • @sniper3134

experience. you have to keep playing, its the only way the micro management of your units is gonna improve.

  • I really enjoyed your commentary, please keep them coming saiedz! Keep teaching me lots of uber techniques. Also, may I please know the names of the songs you used? I know they are from dark knight, but I cannot locate which ones. TIA.

  • @andrewski900

i'll get back to you on that

  • @saiedz

No need, I found it =) it's from the last track on the OST from the movie. Keep the commentarys coming! I want moar!

  • @andrewski900

ahh okay great.. lol next commentary in June :S

  • How did you pick the name butcher of Basra

  • @dcsmith5100

I was playing this very old game on the Playstation 2... I think it was the mask of zorro or something (it was definitely a zorro game) and in one of the mission there was a cut scene where they spoke about some crazy dude named the Butcher of Zaragosa. i thought it sounded catchy so i adopted the alias the Butcher of Basra (Basra being my hometown in Iraq)

  • @saiedz, You are from Basra? Do you live there now? Butcher of Basra sounds like the name of some Shi'a militia leader.

  • @Zackaw

I'm half Iraqi, half Lebanese. My dad is from Basra, Iraq which makes it my home town i guess... but i've never been to Iraq in my life. I live in Bahrain currently.

  • This alot better than what prince makes

  • @KarhuBrothers

    i hope u enjoyed it

  • i love the dramatic music.. would u like to do a 1v1 commentary againest me? i go under |GODS| Chill Brah... if u wana reply to youtube acc

  • @Diehard4182

sure why not... but it'll have to wait for June. I'm extremely busy nowadays

  • @saiedz alright thats cool can u add my steam account? leo111890.. no1 else add it please..

  • very nice commentary, rep+...oh wait :)

  • @managarm1349

    :) thanks

  • @saiedz hey, great videos you have! I enjoy and learn with them. :)

could I ask you for adding the replays to your videos? would be a great addition to your already superb commentaries.

  • @Rosty89

thank you! but what do you mean adding the replays?

  • @saiedz the battle replays. you coul save and upload them.

  • @Rosty89

battle replays are not saved in video format... they have a special format where you can only view them in the 'View Replay' function in the game itself. How can i upload a raw battle replay to Youtube? the only way i can 'show' a battle replay is if i record the footage from the game itself with FRAPS.

  • @saiedz nono, I mean uploading onto rapidshare or elsewhere, so we're able to control the camera.

  • @Rosty89

ohhh... okay. yea i guess i could do that. you'll have to wait until june though. I've got exams coming up really soon.

  • yah i like Suvorov but hes not my favorite... my favorite general is by far Robert E. Lee one because he was a great general(and for all of you who think Grant was better than Lee then yr wrong Grant didnt even fight Lee at all the major battle he just got promoted when the south couldnt sustain the war anymore) and 2 because im from Virginia

  • @TheJohnboat

The fact that Robert E. Lee was in charge of a war effort where supply shortages were common and where he was usually outnumbered by the Union forces, makes him a brilliant commander. But he is still remembered for some of his blunders. I bet you're familiar with Picket's charge at Gettysburg. Lee charged the Union center despite the fact that it was heavily fortified and against the recommendation of his top officers...That pretty much cost the Confederates the whole war!

  • @saiedz yah pickets charge was an embarrassment he should have listened to longstreet but oh well at least he admitted that he scrued up at the end of the battle

  • @TheJohnboat

    yup...

  • The internet is almost devoid of any tactical help pertaining to Napolion TW. Thank you for taking the time to help us out. These videos are epic and fun to watch while at the same time informative.

  • @neorade

i wasn't even planning on uploading a 6th commentary video... it was supposed to be a full fledged "Tactics" video with schematics and diagrams of different strategies and battle plans that you can consider in multiplayer. That is on halt for the moment... but ill definitely put that video up in the summer. i plan to have a 'tactics' video after every 10 commentaries from now on.

    thanks for watching anyway

  • i agree to the most part about the center of your army being the most important but sometimes you can make it weak to draw your opponent in and most people commit to many men to the center allowing you to collapse his flanks and surround him.

  • @ahnilator123

very good point... but nevertheless it remains vital to maintain communication between your two flanks. a separated army is much easily destroyed than an army that is based on units supporting each other. making the center of your battle line weak to draw in the enemy can be a smart thing to do but if by 'weak' you mean: will collapse in seconds... then i dont think that would be a very good idea.

it is better to take the initiative and attack your enemy's weak parts.

  • another question... who is yr favorite historical general?

  • @TheJohnboat

interesting question... i've never actually really thought about that. probably suvorov because he was probably one of the few generals to end his military career without a single defeat. he was both a military genius and a true soldier (he ate the same food his soldiers ate and slept on straw beds just like his men).

  • WOW that was epic i didnt think cavalry was that useful ill have to start using it more... just out of curiosity are lancers the only cavalry type you use or do you use heavy cavalry too?
