You recorded your voice with a higher pitch but deepened it that much? Sounds legit

Thanks. When I say higher pitch, it's not really THAT much higher, but it depends on what kind of Elite voice I'm doing. I have a moderately-toned voice, so I can do somewhat low voices with natural ease. I add a bit of grunge and gravel, and then deepen it slightly to help it blend more realistically.

The trick, I found, was to take Elite recordings form Halo 2, pitch them upward, and then try to mimic those higher tones in my recordings, and re-pitch them down for an accurate reproduction.

extremely, and i say that with full honesty, extremely good voice acting, you have successfully stuck the elite voice, however the quality began to deteriorate when it got toward the end. keep up the good work. as for the "you got owned noob" bit, it created an ironic change of mood at the end. I look forward to seeing more machinima of this quality.

Some people enjoyed it, some people did not. The main reason I put it there is to make sure people understood that this clip in particular would not have any continuations and was not meant to be taken as a serious piece.

I used a card from Pinnacle Systems called the "Pinnacle AV/DV Pack". It sucks, and so does Pinnacle Studio, but unfortunately, Pinnacle makes Dazzle, so most people wind up using their products.
