It is Rudy Stevenson's "I'm going back home" as mentioned above, under the "more info". Btw it can be heard on Nina's marvellous High Priestess of Soul album (1967), just after the song Take me to the water, as in the memorial mix too, which i've linked now at the end of the description too.
Rudy Stevenson past away this morning. He was like my father.Words can not explain .It seems so unreal i wanna call him but he wont answer no more.Thank u Rudy thank u so much for everything u did for me.I allready miss u so much!!!I can't imagine singing the blues without you.U taught me so much.I will always love you!!!And I will always carry you in my heart!!!My mind is with his son Wynton and his brothers and Lyah.
This is the most beautiful footage of Nina Simone I have ever seen. Thank you Bossabomdia so very much. Simone forever has and forever will be my favourite person in music.
She was such an amazing character i would of loved to have been older and knew who she was to see her I love this woman. She was a civil rights leader and amazing musician R.I.P we love you.
this piece is from a documentary that french tv originally did. its a wonderful piece. i knew nina the last 12 years of her life and i adored her. she was one of a kind. a real firecracker..sweet and funny and full of fire..i miss her very much.
what was the name of the song in this documentry about Nina ..ITS AN OLD PEICE OF LIVE FOOTAGE THE SONG SOUNDS AS IF ITS ABOUT BEING A PROSTITUTE WITH THE WORDS "WHAT DO THEY CALL ME THEY CALL ME SWEET THING" I NEED THIS SONG PLEASE HELPME ITS DISTURBING MY LIFE
The song is called Four Women. The woman in the song that you are referring to is called "Sweet Thing." It's one of Simone's classicas. Nina wrote it entirely by herself. The song was so raw and real that it was banned from some US radion stations.
rakash100 thankyou thankyou so much about "FOUR WOMEN" I THOUGHT ID HERD THE BEST TRAK WHEN I FIRST CAME ACROSS "SAVE ME" BUT "FOUR WOMEN" IS A KILLER!!ITS HAUNTING & IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES IVE GOT TO BUY IT & RECORD AS MANY VERSIONS OF IT I CAN FIND IT JUST LIKE coltranes my favourite things ive got 12 versions & i still want more!PEACE
Thanks, one of my favourite songs too from Nina (and radio listeners loved it too any times when i played it in my show in Hungary.) Really happy to see You here :)

No it's kate Waymon, Nina's mum.
I'm not quite sure, but the young girl beside her looks like Lisa ,nina's daughter.
Nina looks beautifull and really happy.makes me feel good :

actually, Nina did not write it entirely by herself, her husband, Andrew Stroud helped her with the characters.
