Thank you as always! What do you prefer brand wise for eyeshadows? Chanel, Mac, Dior, Lancome or UD? Also have you tried the givenchy eyeshadows? I just got the khaki quad and it's beautiful!
@YinHou33 I have tried Givenchy shadows but I just haven't gotten around to purchasing one yet.. too many collections to keep up with. I think my favorite shadows are by Chanel, though I own more Dior!
Hi Rae, do you wear blue contacts? I just subscribed and have never watched your older videos and they're really pretty in contrast to your dark brown hair. Thanks! <3
Thanks Rae! I have Chanel's ombree perlees quint from spring11 which also has green/khaki.... is it redundant for me to get this eyeshadow palette? how do the 2 compare? Also, what is favorite mattifying powder? thanks for yr great work!
@vancouver2chic No, I don't think so. These are nothing alike! Different finishes, pigmentation, etc. My favorite mattifying powder is Guerlain's Meteorites Pressed.
i dont know if you've been doing this very long, but i love how you zoom in and out during application, it makes the tutorial soooooooo clear!! love it and love this look on you as well!! hope to see more of your COLLECTION series!!
Hi Rae, I was wondering what your top 2 HG travel palettes are? I'll be going on a fairly extended trip soon and since I don't want to haul all my eyeshadow palettes with me, I am hoping to bring maybe just 2 or 3 fairly versatile palettes with me for everyday/night out looks. Thanks for your suggestions!! P.S. have you come across any good bronzer/blush duos worth mentioning?
I know this video is about the Dior eyeshadow (lovely!) , but I actually have a question on Genifique! Your other video about it is slammed with the lucky draw entries! so i thot i have a higher chance of getting your reply here!
I got visionnaire after your recommendation and was wondering if had to purchase a genifique product to compromise it, would the Genifique night cream or concentrate do a better job? Which one would you prefer?
@pigheather - ignore the NC/NW and you've got your chanel shade.. I'm NW20 in MAC and 20 (Clair) in Chanel.. if you're looking at Vitalumiere Aqua - NW = BR and NC = B (NW20 = BR20).. xo
Love the look as always!! However, I'm slightly envious in this instance because I wish I could pull off these colors as well as you do. My fair skin with these smokey greens would make it look like I got hit in the eyes, haha.
Do you like the YSL eyeliner more than the Lancome le stylo? Also, even though that foundation has very little SPF in it, would it give a white cast in photos?
Hi Rae! How do you like the Cargo Blu Ray powder? I'm looking for a new powder that would have more yellow tones for my Asian skin haha
I got a sample of the Chanel perfection lumiere in the beige color (same one you used) and it was a bit too dark for me! What's your skin color? Does the foundation suit you well? I'm a Nc27 to NC 30...
How come you don't wear your new Geo bambi sesame grey lenses? I have those too and I feel they're a bit too large and very dramatic. Do you feel the same way?
Hey Rae! I remember you mentioned that your favorite eye pencil is from GA (limited edition) on another video that I commented on, how does that compare to the YSL pencil then? I haven't tried either, but if YSL is still available, I definitely want to pick it up! My lids are super oily and there is nothing that stays on my waterline =(
@TropicalMists YSL's WP pencils are permanent. The formulas are similar but the LE GA pencils last all day whereas the YSL pencils only last for half the day but that's longer than most other pencils!
@dempss1 Thank you for actually reading the blog post <3 I get tons of questions regarding the colors or numbers of the products I used when all that information is always listed in the post!
how do you like the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation? I am looking for a new foundation for my birthday coming up next month and I've been wanting to try Chanel but not sure which one to go with. I have a combination skin, usually the T zone gets oily throughout the day. I am looking for something with medium coverage that will look good in pictures as well. Thanks in advance for your recommendation!!=]
this look is so pretty! its so amazing that you can pull off so many different colors for eyeshadow!! from intense bright colors to dark smokey colors.
the khaki really does suit you :) Do you think it would suit brown hair/eyes and pale skin? Also don't you find that the rouge coco shine wears away really quickly? I find that it doesn't have the same staying power as Lancomes L'Abosolu Nu which is my favourite. Thanks for the tutorial :)
@nenjen86 Absolutely! I think khaki/olive tones suit fair skin best. And yes, the RCS don't last for more than a few hours but I still love them. L'Absolu Nu lippies are indeed awesome, though!
what is the best pencil eyeliner you have tried? im looking for something that's long wearing like it doesnt smudge/run down your face and it stays put xD and is quite black xxx
@lilifeoff It doesn't last for more than two hours on my waterline. Like I said in the video, try the YSL waterproof pencils because they're the best permanent option!
I remember once you said UD zero also not last longer on your waterline, so do I. And you recommend Armani however it is a limited edition. How do you compare the YSL one you mentioned? by comparing with Armani one? Thank you!!
@Jessybaby016 The powder foundation brush is best for powders and yes, I prefer it to my MAC or Sigma alternatives. It is over $40 but you can check on google to be sure!
@MUconfidential Butter London's Teddy GIrl. I always list my nail polishes in the product list - the link is found in the description box - for your future reference!
Rae... I'm not sure so I must ask lol.. Since it's my first Chanel foundation due to lack of color range are all of them scented ? I love the foundation but I could live without the scent. I like it in my lipsticks from them and gloss but it seems a bit stronger in the foundation. I still really like the perfection foundation
@IrialIray I like to warm up the product with my hands :) I do use brushes when I'm working, though! I never touch anyone's face with my fingers unless I have permission.
@planetyuna You're very welcome! Have fun playing with your new products :)
