But I've also worked with some heroic sound people that work their asses off to pull any kind of sound from really adverse conditions - like broken equipment. And then they get shit from my bandmates or other bands for not being magically able to make them sound perfect. Fuckin' ingrates.

Punk in itself is an anti ideological movement. It's not defined in its ideas, more likely in the music. Green Day were punk, now they punk elemnts inserted in pop music. I'm not mad on Dead Kennedys if you want to know. The first record is good, but I prefer Jello Biafra's solo works. I don't get offended in the slightest by other people's opinions or tastes (being opinions or tastes, therefore subjective) but I just think that if you want to express an opinion you need to shroud ignorance.
