Almost as big of a joke as u saying ur not criticizing her b/c she is pop. As for the Kooks' singer. He's not impressive. He's very average. Limited range, decent to ok tone. Take it from someone who sings and works with a lot of singers, he is average to below avg. Even in studio.

Katy Perry's version seemed clearly done in a studio atmosphere, with those sophisticated auto-tuners that make it appear as if one can actually sing well. WHICH IS HORRID. But this version, clearly done without the nuances of modern auto-tune technology is praised, not because of their lack of being 'over produced' but because Luke Pritchard can actually sing. The true talent is obviously seen here.
