I have posted this on facebook for my friends a million times (not actually a million), but I have never even had one response from any of them. Most of them probably hate it because it's not "metal" or "rap" or "punk" or mainstream crap, so they shrug and say it's "nothing".
That's sheeple these days. It depresses me so much I could cry. Sheeple have no ability to look deep into anything anymore. No one seems to be able to let themselves be transcended through music anymore. Lady GaGa.......
I get the same thing... It's depressing that people only seem to want music that fits in their little boxes and not just have an auditory experience and FEEL the sound
@teejay123skates hey teejay, i used sony vegas pro 9 for the editing, and did a few multiple overlays. i wanted to get as close as possible to stars of the lid's live projection loops in this video. glad you liike it.
I deeply love every single track made by Stars of the Lid, they forever have a special place in my music lover heart, but this track is above everything, so simple, so profound and yet, the most beautiful music in the world, weird how it makes me smile and cry at the same time every times i hear it. I wish everyone loving SOTL like us would at least share this track with the world.
Since there are in that classical thing I found not so good like on their first lps
On carte Deviste hear to Good Night. It's rain field recordings and a extremly slowly played bass or cello or both. It even don't sound like some of the instruments.
this is such a beautiful song! hey, pls check out our band, we are still on the process of figuring the right tune for creating our own ambient music.. just type, "jam experiment video file 3 (feb 2, 2010)" .. you can also check our past videos on my account.. leave a comment, thanks!
Beautiful, just beautiful, but why do we have to wait so long for each release. Although, if music be the food of gods, I'm prepared to wait for the next course.
this song is powerful even make me ignore the nice erotic sexy ladies in the video and see them in other way of beautiful point of view, was amazing i forwarded this video to many friends
i first heard this track only a few days ago. when i heard it, i thought 20 minutes had gone by, but only 5 had. that speaks volumes for a postrock/ambient musician can slow down one's perception of time.
This video, like Lynch's "Lumiere" is at the same time a mix of wholesome and lurid imagery, referencing a perverse fantasy- or an unspeakable suppressed memory.
im so confused

This has nothing to do with Tippy, the New York based electro-pop singer/rapper, now, does it.

Like many other SotL tracks, this one is cinematic and rather melancholic. The footage looks pretty cool.
